Summary
Instead of getting rid of Jonathan, his demon-blooded child, Valentine decides to try and increase his hold over him and Jace - as well as increase their powers - by getting them to compete for his affections. However, he underestimates both boys.
When Valentine fakes his death Jace and Jonathan goes to live with the Lightwoods. Slowly but surely Alec and Izzy gains the trust and care of both boys. When Jace and Alec fall in love and Alec learns of Jonathan's demon-blood one thing is clear: They will need to change the very foundation of Idris, of the Shadow World, to secure their happiness. When Jonathan discovers his demonic blood means he has a Warlock brother, they know where to start.
