Sungjong woke up and felt like shit. He felt nauseous and he had a wicked headache. He honestly wanted to lay in bed all day if he could but they had a busy schedule today and he didn’t want his hyungs to worry.
Against his body’s will, he got up out of bed and went to the bathroom to brush his teeth and take a shower. Sungjong finally got ready and left his room heading towards the kitchen.
When he walked in, he mumbled good morning to his hyungs that were in the kitchen who happened to be Dongwoo and Woohyun who looked him over as he grabbed the cereal box and a bowl fixing himself some breakfast. “Sungjong. Are you alright?” Dongwoo asked, concerned, noticing the sluggish behavior of their maknae which was very unusual.
“I’m okay hyung. Just a little tired” Sungjong answered as he sat down and began eating. “If you need anything, call me or Dongwoo as we have short schedules today” Woohyun explained and Sungjong nodded in reply. Dongwoo looked at Woohyun who shrugged and both decided to keep an eye on their youngest throughout the day.
4:00 PM
Dongwoo was in the studio recording his part for the album when his phone began ringing. He gave an apologetic look to their producer who rolled his eyes as Dongwoo stepped out to answer the call once he saw it was Sungjong. “Hey Sungjong, what’s going on?” Dongwoo said and he got worried when all he heard was crying on Sungjong’s end of the call. “Baby. Talk to me. What’s the matter? I can’t help if you don’t talk to me, love” Dongwoo said.
Dongwoo heard some shuffling and then it became quiet. “Hello? Anyone there?” Dongwoo heard recognizing the voice. “Jungkook? Is Sungjong alright?” Dongwoo asked. “Dongwoo hyung! Um, Sungjong hyung is not feeling so well. I found him in the break room as we happened to be scheduled for the same photo shoot. He said that his stomach was cramping and he felt like he had a fever” Jungkook explained.
Dongwoo felt terrible for letting Sungjong leave the dorm this morning knowing something didn’t feel
right but he couldn’t worry about that now. “Can you or a staff member watch over him until I get there, Jungkook? I’m on my way” Dongwoo said and once Jungkook confirmed that he could watch over him, Dongwoo hung up and went back into the studi and explained the situation to the producer who thankfully was understanding.
Dongwoo called Sunggyu, and their manager explaining what happened and before he made it to his car, he heard his name being called. Dongwoo turned and saw Woohyun.
“Sunggyu knows how Sungjong can be when he can’t have both of us at the same time so he convinced our manager to let me, and you off for the next couple of days to take care of our maknae” Woohyun explained and Dongwoo was grateful for Sunggyu.

“Hyungs! Thank goodness you made it. Sungjong has been whining since I got off the phone asking for you and Woohyun hyung” Jungkook explained looking very stressed when they finally arrived.
“We’ll handle it from here, Jungkook. Thank you for watching over him” Woohyun said as he and Dongwoo bowed gratefully to the younger and he blushed. “It was nothing hyung. I know you would do the same for me. I hope he feels better” Jungkook replied, waving as he headed back over to the photo shoot while Dongwoo and Woohyun returned it as they walked into the break room to check on Sungjong. They deemed to able to move Sungjong so Dongwoo picked up Sungjong and carried him out to the car and in the backseat while Woohyun followed. Sungjong refused to let go of Dongwoo so Woohyun ended up having to drive.
“Sungjong. Darling? How are you feeling?” Woohyun asked as Dongwoo let the younger lean on him as he ran his hand across Sungjong’s stomach gently in soothing motions to ease the cramps. Sungjong just groaned as he cuddled more into Dongwoo and Woohyun felt his heart break seeing their maknae in so much pain.
When they made it back to the dorm, Dongwoo again carried Sungjong in and Woohyun suggested taking him to his room because he had the biggest bed and Dongwoo agreed. Woohyun stopped at the bathroom by his room and began setting things up for a bath hoping it’ll help with the stomach cramps. After getting everything done in the bathroom, Woohyun went to check on his other two members.
When Woohyun walked into his room, Dongwoo was laying on the bed in shorts and a sleeveless shirt that belonged to Woohyun but they often borrowed each other’s clothes anyway. He somehow managed to get Sungjong into shorts and one of Woohyun’s t-shirts and he was practically a koala attached to Dongwoo sleeping peacefully. “How is he?” Woohyun asked, sitting on the edge of the bed, reaching out to touch Sungjong’s forehead to see what his temperature was. It came down from earlier but was still higher than normal. “He threw up not too long ago in the bathroom in me and Sunggyu’s room before we got here. Other than that, he’s been fine and his stomach cramps have calmed down to where he finally fell asleep” Dongwoo answered rubbing his eyes sleepily. “Seems like it’s not just the maknae who needs a nap” Woohyun teased laughing as Dongwoo gave him the middle finger. “You two should sleep for a while and I’m going to shower before making something light to eat for later” Woohyun explained getting up from the bed and Dongwoo nodded in reply before closing his eyes.

Sungjong woke up feeling extremely warm, sweaty and the best he’s felt all day. Opening his eyes, he blinked to clear his vision up and noticed that he was back in the dorm and wasn’t sure how he got there. The last thing he could remember was his stomach cramping so bad he ended up on the floor in the break room as he tried calling Dongwoo after trying to call Woohyun but didn’t get an answer. “Dongwoo hyung” he said trying to get up when he was pulled back down and finally realized there was an arm around his waist and he rolled over to see who it was but he had a guess based on the amount of body heat.
“Hey hyung” he whispered as he made eye contact with a sleepy eyed Dongwoo. “Hey baby boy. How are you feeling?” He replied, voice husky as he let go of the younger to stretch after pecking Sungjong’s forehead. Sungjong blushed at the short kiss and nickname, not used to his hyungs babying him as he sat up against the headboard. “I feel better, hyung. Just sweaty and a little overheated. I’m also a little hungry” Sungjong replied.
“I’m glad you’re feeling better darling. Sorry about you getting hot. I forget that we both have high body temperatures anyway but you also had a fever that you sweated out and it seems like it’s finally broken” Dongwoo explained and Sungjong nodded figuring out that since he had a fever that most likely he felt cold and begged Dongwoo to cuddle him as he gets whiny when he doesn’t get what he wants when he’s sick.
“Where’s Woohyun hyung? I thought I heard him earlier” Sungjong asked, remembering his hyung talking to him but it was fuzzy. Dongwoo chuckled knowing the younger was going to wonder where Woohyun was. The two people he always asked for when he wasn’t feeling well were Dongwoo and Woohyun. If it wasn’t them, he was not going to be cooperative at all. The only person he would listen to would be Sunggyu but that was it.
“He may be in the kitchen, love. Want to go see while I go change clothes?” Dongwoo asked and Sungjong nodded. Both left Woohyun’s room and split ways. Sungjong went to find his other hyung while Dongwoo went to change.
Sungjong walked down the hall and to the kitchen door, stopping as he heard pots and dishes and Woohyun singing. Sungjong walked into the kitchen unnoticed by his hyung. He walked up behind his hyung, startling him when he hugged him from behind. “I’m guessing that this is my darling baby maknae who I believe is finally feeling better” Woohyun said, turning around and Sungjong smiled as he nodded. “Hey hyung” Sungjong said, squealing as Woohyun peppered kisses on his face and cheeks.
“Hyung! It tickles” Sungjong said, giggling. “I’m just relieved you’re feeling better sweetheart. I don’t like to see you in pain. There’s a reason Dongwoo is the one who handles that side of things” Woohyun explained and Sungjong chuckled, grateful for his two hyungs.
“You hungry?” Woohyun asked as Sungjong’s stomach growled just as Dongwoo walked in with different clothes and damp hair. “That means yes. Woo you want anything?” Woohyun asked looking over at Dongwoo who nodded and smiled in thanks.
“I’m almost done so you two can go chill in the living room and I’ll get you in a bit” Woohyun said shooing then out the kitchen and Dongwoo dragged Sungjong from the kitchen and to the couch. “Let’s cuddle. I’m cold now” Dongwoo said and Sungjong obliged loving to always cuddle his affectionate hyung. Sungjong never said anything but he thought it was cute when his hyung asked him to cuddle.
When Woohyun came to find them when the food was ready, he sighed amused as he saw Dongwoo and Sungjong were cuddling on the couch and asleep once more. He took a picture and sent it to Sunggyu when the leader texted him later that day asking how their maknae was doing.
Sungjong was grateful to have his hyungs there to take care of him and he wouldn’t want it any other way.
