Tokoyami woke with a start from a nightmare, taking a moment to gain their bearings they did not hear the soft singing coming from their quirk.
Dark shadow who had been with Tokoyami for years now knew at the start of the night it was going to be a bad one and had immediately started to sing knowing it was one of the few things that could calm a terrified Tokoyami. They suffered terrible nightmares multiple times a week with some nights being better than others.
When Tokoyami finally noticed the soft voice of their quirk they could feel themself relax back on the bed and chirped in appreciation of the effort Dark Shadow went through every night. Dark Shadow didn’t acknowledge the other just continued to sing knowing Tokoyami would soon be back to sleep and hoping that the singing would help them to sleep soundly the rest of the night. Dark Shadow would keep this up as long as needed if it meant that Tokoyami slept soundly and safely.
