Summary
The basic premise is explained in the Jungle Juice one, and I think a few others, but I'll explain here too.
In the MHA world, there is a person who has a close connection to the "Universe". The Universe is an actual character (not God. just putting that there right now. completely separate) who watches over the multiverse. It's a benevolent character who enlists people and sends them on a "mission through the multiverse".
They get a watch that has how long they have until it's time for them to move to the next "assignment", an indicator for their "target(s)", and the world number in the multiverse. Their "mission" is basically service. They're supposed to help the people the Universe directs them to however they can. Once time's up, a cool-looking swirly portal appears to take them to the next place.
The Universe may change their age in the world for plot convenience. (casually RIP fourth wall.)
They don't know how long it will take, or how many world's they will enter, but once they're done, they can return to any of the worlds they've visited whenever they want. (using the watch)
Also, one year passes in the person's original world, no matter how long they're gone, and they age one year.

“I went out on patrol with Nemuri.”
The blood drained from Hizashi’s face. His eyebrows furrowed. Nemuri took a deep breath and looked him in the eyes.
“That was four months ago, Shouta.”
OR
Eraserhead goes missing during patrol only to return four months later with no memory of what happened, and whoever took him won't let him go so easily. While his students and fellow heroes are all too willing to help him put the pieces together and hunt down those responsible, they'll soon find themselves in way over their heads.

Izuku steps towards the other teen, holding his hand out to shake, “I’m Midoriya Izuku by the way. We haven’t officially met yet, right? I don’t remember seeing you at the Entrance Exam?”
The blue-haired boy pauses, studies his hand uncertainly before shrugging. “Shirakumo Oboro,” he introduces in return, hand phasing right through Izuku’s when he goes to return the handshake. Shirakumo doesn’t seem surprised by it, but Izuku whips his hand back when the intense chill climbs up his arm.

Izuku tries to pretend eveything is okay even though his homelife is crumbling around him, there's an insanely powerful Quirk that's not entirely his coursing through his veins, he suddenly knows his childhood hero, All Might, and to top it all off, he seems to have befriend a pastel blue-haired ghost that has way too much insider knowledge on Izuku's new homeroom teacher, and English teacher. He's really just trying to survive Yuuei...
