Set Post-TFAWS. You are a brilliant, caring doctor and you work for S.H.I.E.L.D. (According to ScreenRant there is evidence S.H.I.E.L.D still exists in TFAWS, so we’ll go with that!) As part of Bucky’s pardon from the government, he is required to come in regularly for a routine physical exam and lab tests. You happen to be doing research about the long-term physiological effects of the super-soldier serum, so he’s assigned to be under your care. You get to know each other during these appointments. Who knows what will happen? 😉
