Snowballs, Shampoo and Kisses | Chenji

Summary:

Chenle walked towards him and picked up a heaping amount of snow and plopped it right on his head. Admittedly not his best idea but Jisung’s face was priceless. Seconds past and muddy snow water began to drip down Jisung’s forehead, through his eyebrows drip, drip, drip.

“Omg, Ji I’m so sorry,” Chenle couldn’t hold in his laugh. He was laughing but adoration filled his eyes. Jisung’s so cute

“But you're laughing,” Jisung said, pouting. So damn cute.

Notes:

Heyyyyy! i've had this in my drafts for a while and thought I should finally post it!

Work Text:

Spring was fast approaching, the days were getting warmer and the birds were coming back. And that was great. But there was still snow, less than the amount two weeks ago but it was there nonetheless.

“Now that the dumbest thing you’ve ever done and you’ve done a lot of dumb things,” Chenle laughed as he walked hand in hand with his boyfriend Jisung. They had started to take walks as the weather started to warm up. Being stuck inside all winter wasn’t as cozy as the movies made them out to be.

“You should have been there with me,” he clung to his arm, “I always lost bets to Haechan back then. But if I knew I had to jump into the freezing cold pool in the dead of winter I wouldn't have agreed.” Chenle playfully swatted his arm.

“I hate you,” Chenle said.

“You love me,” Jisung said. Chenle rolls his eyes, it’s definitely true, but he’s not gonna let Jisung have that satisfaction because he acted dumb, cute but dumb.

They entered Chenle’s backyard through the gate and Chenle shut the latch behind them. When he turned around he was met with a ball of slush. The greyish ball landed splat in the middle of his spring jacket and ran down the blue waterproof fabric. He let out a low huff and lifted his head and met eyes with the culprit. Panic flashed across Jisung’s face for a split second and then he ran.

“Wait I’m sorry ah,” Jisung yelled as he ran away from his boyfriend, “ah I’m sorry!” But the damage was done and Jisung was going to pay.

They chased each other around Chenle’s backyard throwing dirty snow at each other. Definitely not one of their cutest moments. Minutes had passed and both of their hands had become red and cold but Chenle wasn’t done, even when Jisung fell on his knees and begged for forgiveness.

Chenle walked towards him and picked up a heaping amount of snow and plopped it right on his head. Admittedly not his best idea but Jisung’s face was priceless. Seconds past and muddy snow water began to drip down Jisung’s forehead, through his eyebrows drip, drip, drip

“Omg, Ji I’m so sorry,” Chenle couldn’t hold in his laugh. He was laughing but adoration filled his eyes. Jisung’s so cute

“But you're laughing,” Jisung said, pouting. So damn cute.

“But I’m sorry,” he tried to pout to show his concern but Jisung’s face was too hilarious. Tears filled his eyes as he laughed.

Chenle used his sleeve to clean the snow off Jisungs hair then Jisung stood and used his cold knuckle to wipe away his laughing tears. He is too sweet, even when Chenle puts dirty snow on his head.

Chenle takes Jisung’s cold hands and leads him into his house. “Let me wash your hair for you since there is dirt in it now.” They enter from the backdoor, remove their shoes, then they go through the kitchen where Chenle tells him to grab a chair. “Just put it in front of the sink in the laundry room. I’ll be back”

Chenle quickly runs upstairs into his bathroom, grabs his hair products then runs to his room, discards his jacket then runs back downstairs. Jisung had already taken off his jacket and was sitting on the chair with the back of it facing the side so his head could lean back into the sink. On the other side of the sink was a wall so they were boxed in.

Chenle hops up on the side of the chair and straddles Jisung’s waist. A blush crept onto Jisung’s cheeks. Chenle giggles at that, then softly pushes his head back. He reaches forward and turns on the water and fiddles with the nobs.

“Is this temperature good,” Chenle said.

“Mhm.”

Chenle began to lather his hair with his shampoo. He used a heaping amount not wanting a crumb of dirt left in Jisung’s pretty head. He used the pads of his fingertips and messaged the shampoo into his scalp. Jisung let out a sigh and he had a small smile on his lips.

Chenle stared down at his boyfriend, he looked so satisfied and comfortable under him. And he swore Jisung’s cheeks get redder and redder every minute.

“God, why the hell are you so cute?” Chenle gushed as paused on shampooing Jisung’s hair. Jisung opened his eyes and met Chenle.

“Why aren’t I hot or sexy?”

“Because you're my baby.”

“But I'm taller than you, Chenle.”

“Yeah, and you're under me right now, so.”

Jisung shrugs in an I-guess-you're-right kind of way. But make no mistake this boy knew how to get Chenle going. Some may say he looks adorable but this man was definitely hot and definitely sexy. Especially right now, with the way he was smirking up at his.

“You look silly,” but kinda sexy at the same time—how does that work? He wanted to add. Chenle bit his bottom lip, it became a habit after dating this man for so long. Jisung reached up and thumbed at Chenle’s bottom lip, releasing it from his teeth. Then his hand slid behind his neck and he pulled him in for a kiss. The feeling lingered on Chenle’s lips long after Jisung placed his head back on the rim of the sink.

Clearly flustered, Chenle cleared his throat and went back to washing his hair. He rinsed the stubs from his hair then added a coconut scented hair conditioner, he let it sit for 15 minutes.

“This smells like you,” Jisung said softly.

“Yeah, it’s what I use to wash my hair.”

“The one you always say is really expensive?”

“Yeah,” Chenle says

“Damn I feel really special right now, Lele,” Jisung said. At first, Chenle thought the nickname was silly but he grew to love it. The way Jisung called his name was one of the reasons why he fell for him in the first place.

Jisung sits up in the chair and Chenle sits down on his lap. Chenle wraps a small towel around his neck to catch the dripping water. Chenle looked into Jisungs eyes, he memorized every part of that boy's face, his eyes, his cute nose, right down to the small beauty mark under his lips. Jisung was the most beautiful and handsome boy Chenle had ever seen. Chenle thumbed his cheek then leaned in and kissed him slowly. He pulled away after a minute and rested his head on his forehead, it was a little damp but he didn’t mind.

“Do you remember when I first told you that I loved you,” Jisung whispered after a moment

“yeah”

 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Before they started dating they had liked each other for a while and they knew it. But they never really became a thing because they had to keep it a secret from Jisung’s brother who was also Chenle’s best friend. Chenle didn’t want to start dating Jisung until he found a way to tell Renjun.

Chenle knew Renjun wouldn’t be okay with them being together because he always said “I know you and my brother are in some of the same classes and so you work together on homework and stuff, but I think I've seen you guys get all touchy which made me want to barf. Also you’re my best friend so please don’t date him, it’ll make things weird.” Renjun squints his eyes at Chenle. “You don't like him, right?”

“What, no!” a lie, a big fat lie

“Cool, cool. So I guess both of you are just really touchy, whatever, don’t do it in front of me it’s weird.”

And things did get weird when Renjun caught them kissing in Jisung’s bed. They had been fine with staying as friends, keeping their distance but the one time they let themselves go around each other they were caught by the one person they were trying to hide their feelings from. Figures.

It took weeks for Renjun  to forgive them. Which Jisung mentioned was actually good because he held grudges for months.

Days later, after Renjun was no longer angry, they were in Jisung’s room after what felt like years in Chenle’s opinion. It was still cold back then so they were huddled up under Jisung’s cover, sleep dragging down their eyelids. Mid-afternoon vibes. ‘The best feeling ever’ thought Chenle.

“Chenle?” Jisung said in the most tired and cute voice Chenle has ever heard.

“Hm?”

“I think I’m in love with you,” a pause. “ No, I know I’m in love with you.”

“Really?” Chenle turns his whole body so he is facing Jisung, Jisung hands still around him. “Like the way your dad loves your mom. Like how he asked her to marry him three separate times before they were even old enough to get married because he knew he loved her and wanted to be with her forever. Like how he cried when she told him she loves him back-”

“Yes, exactly like that. But we’re only nineteen so we can’t get married, I’d be so down in the future though.” Jisung says and then he kisses Chenle's forehead. Chenle kisses his eyelid, the one that isn’t squashed against the pillow and murmurs for him to sleep now. He no longer felt the urge to sleep with this new piece of information running through his head, so he caressed Jisungs cheek as he fell asleep.

[back to present]

By the time Chenle is done telling his re-calling of the most special day in his life he also finished washing out the conditioner that was setting in Jisung’s hair. Chenle lifts Jisungs head up and messages it with the small towel that was around his neck, drying his hair.

“I love you so much, Jisung,” Chenle says, still straddling him. “And I know it’s been months but I always beat myself up at the fact that I never told you I loved you back the first time you told me.”

“It’s fine, because I know you do. And I love you too, Chenle.”

“I know I’m a lot sometimes so thank you for loving me. But if you ever stop,” Chenle dragged his thumb across his neck, he was joking though. He could only hope Jisung would love him forever.

Jisung chuckles at his silliness.

“Alright, that will be twenty dollars, sir. And that’s a discount I only give to customers I find cute” Chenle says

“How about twenty kisses instead?”

“Then fifty dollars”

“So 50 kisses”

“Yes.”

“Okay, that only seems fair,” Jisung says. He kissed him once, twice, then a third time counting after each peck.

“Why are you stopping? We still got forty-seven more kisses to go, you're in debt, my love! So now I expect tips” Chenle smiled at him

Jisung smiles against his lips as he kisses his forty-seven more times and then some.

And he knew he was gonna love him forever no matter what.
