Work Text:
“Shit” Chloé cussed under her breath when she saw the time on her phone, “Alix, It’s late… I should go home”
Alix looked at her pleadingly and hugged her tighter, Chloé couldn’t help but to sink into the warm embrace. “Please stay?”
She huffed, crossed her arms and looked away because she was 100% sure that Alix had bust out her puppy eyes. Glancing out the window she could barely see the big fat snowflakes fall onto the ground in the dark.
“I can’t… You know that Adrien and Sabrina will think you kidnapped and killed me or something if I don’t come home soon” Chloé rolled her eyes and looked back at Alix, who was also looking out the window.
“The weather looks bad, I doubt that any cars can drive in this” Alix hummed, “Are you sure that you can’t stay?”
“You know I want to stay. But I really can’t”
“You sure?”
“Yeah… I really can’t stay”
Fuck it, Alix thought as she let a grin slip onto her face, because this whole conversation sounded too much like a christmas song.
“Baby it’s cold outside” She sings, making Chloé roll her eyes.
“I gotta go away” Chloé sang back and slunk out of Alix’s warm hug, making the shorter girl pout and stand up too.
“Baby it’s cold outside”
“This evening has been-”
“Been hoping that you’d dropped in” Alix interrupted and came closer to Chloé, aiming to wrap her arms around the taller girl’s waist.
Chloé danced out of her grasp, “-So very nice”
“I’ll hold your hands, they’re just like ice” Alix grasped Chloé’s hands in hers, they were normally cold but inside in this warm atmosphere, they were warm.
“My mother will start to worry” Chloé couldn’t help but to scoff at the mere thought of Adrey worrying about her. Besides, Audrey didn’t even know about their relationship.
“Beautiful, what's your hurry?” Alix wraps her arms around Chloé’s waist and nuzzles up against her neck. Her movements make Chloé giggle.
“My father will be pacing the floor” She drawls, rolling her eyes because she knows that he probably would.
“Listen to the fireplace roar”
“So really I’d better scurry” Chloé pressed a kiss to Alix’s cheek as they started to somewhat slow-dance.
“Beautiful please don’t hurry”
“Well maybe just a half a drink more”
Soda, of course, they were still minors.
“I’ll put some records on while I pour”
“The neighbors might think” By the amount of times Chloé was at this house, the neighbors definitely knew something.
“Baby it’s bad out there” Alix gestured out the window, eyebrows quirked and a teasing grin sporting her face.
“Say, what’s in this drink”
“It’s fucking soda what do you think?”
“Noooo, you broke the song” Chloé whined and tried to slap Alix’s arm, but she dodged
“Sorry! Uhm, let’s just start where we last left off” Alix cleared her throat, “No cabs to be had out there”
“I wish I knew how-”
Alix grabbed Chloé’s cheeks and pulled her forward as if she were going in for a kiss, “Your eyes are like starlight now” .
“-to break this spell” , Chloé sang as she blushed brightly.
“I’ll take your hat, your hair looks swell” Was sung as Alix tangled her hands into Chloé’s soft vanilla curls.
It did not help her blushing.
“Why thank you” She said dryly, “I ought to say no, no, no sir”
“Mind if I move in closer?” Alix grabbed Chloé’s hips and pulled her even closer as they continued their slowdance.
“At least I’m gonna say that I tried”
“What’s the sense of hurting my pride?”
“I really can’t stay'' Chloé started to move their dance towards the door.
“Baby don’t hold out”
“Baby it’s cold outsideee~” They sang together as Alix led them into a spin, as if leading Chloé away from the door’s direction.
Chloé sighed, “You’re very pushy you know?”
“I like to think of it as opportunistic” Alix grinned in such a captivating way that made her weak at the knees.
“Of course you do”
“Ap-ap-ap, stay to the lyrics”
Chloé rolled her eyes and started their dance again, “I simply must go”
“Baby it’s cold outside”
“The answer is no!” Chloé broke their dance entirely and moved towards the couch.
“But baby it’s cold outside” Alix sang dramatically and gestured towards the windows once again.
“The welcome has been-”
“How lucky that you dropped in” Alix interrupted and sat down next to Chloé.
“-so nice and warm”
Wrapping an arm around Chloé’s shoulders, she pointed out the window. “ Look out the window at that storm”
“My sister will be suspicious” Sabrina definitely would if she didn’t arrive home soon..
“Gosh your lips look delicious!” Alix hushed and leaned so close she could for a kiss.
Chloé blushed and pushed her face away. “My brother will be there at the door” It was such an Adrien move.
“Waves upon tropical shore” Alix moved their faces close again, a small smirk raising onto her lips.
“My maiden aunt’s mind is vicious”
Alix dove down and pressed a quick peck to Chloé’s lips, “Gosh your lips are delicious”
Chloé’s face darkened with a sweet blush, “Well maybe just a cigarette more” she gave in.
“Never such a blizzard before” Alix looked out the window again.
“And I don’t even smoke” She mumbled before raising to her feet again, “I’ve got to get home”
Alix were quick to stand up too. “Baby you’ll freeze out there”
“Say lend me your comb”
“It’s up to your knees out there!”
It wasn’t really, but soon it would.
“You’ve really been grand-”
“I feel when I touch your hand” Alix grabbed Chloé’s hand and brought it up to her lips to kiss it.
Chloé moved her hand before soft lips could hit it, “-but don’t you see?”
“How can you do this thing to me?” Alix sang just as dramatically as before, lifting a hand to her forehead.
“There’s bound to be talk tomorrow...” or tonight… If she even made it home.
“Think of my lifelong sorrow!” Alix put her hands together, begging, making Chloé roll her eyes.
“... at least there will be plenty implied”
“If you caught pneumonia and died!” Alix bellowed somehow even more dramatically than before.
“I really can’t stay”
“Get over that old out~”
“Baby it’s cold- Baby it’s cold outsideee~” They sang together, again, smiles bearing both of their faces.
“Okay fine, just another drink then”
“Hahah, well, that took a lot of convincing”
As soon as their little duet was over, Chloé clapped her hands together. “But I really should get home”
“Do we need to sing the song again?” Alix teasingly asked.
“Ugh fine, but only if we cuddle”
“How could I ever say no to that?”
