GODLIKE

Summary:

Satoru Gojo and his students received a mission at PK Academy to exorcise a curse.
Kusuo Saiki had received a precognitive vision of a monster at his school, nearly killing someone who had been there. As a person blessed (read: cursed) with psychic powers, he could not not intervene.

Then, the two of them meet. Both with godlike powers, but a completely different personality. One believes he can’t defeat god, while the other is convinced that he is god.

Or, the gojo and Saiki crossover u didn’t know u needed.

(Spoiler free)

Notes:

Aight. Some things may not be right or like slightly OOC but listen ! I’ve only managed to do a character study on Gojo and Saiki. But anyway, hope u all enjoy.

Also, italics are thoughts and when it’s one word in italic then it’s just me being dramatic. Saiki speaks like <…> because that’s when he uses his telepathy,,, that’s all I think

Work Text:

Satoru Gojo looked at the school building in front of him, the cursed energy radiating from the building nearly making him shiver. Oh yea, this surely was a special grade. “Halt!” Gojo yelled, causing the three first years in front of him to abruptly stop their passes. “What is it Gojo sensei?” Yuji Itadori asked, curious as to why their teacher made them stop all of a sudden. “Can’t you sense it?” Nobara Kugisaki asked, more rhetorical than usual. Itadori made a mhhh noise before nodding. “Special grade, right?” He asked, looking at Gojo for confirmation. Gojo simply grinned before nodding and leading his students towards the building.

Megumi Fushiguro simply rolled his eyes before following his sensei and his fellow students. “Emerge from darkness. Blacker than darkness. Purify that which is impure.” Gojo said, creating a veil to block out non curse users so they wouldn’t get in the way. “Are you sure that the school is left behind?” Nobara asked, looking around and observing the interior. “Pretty sure. It’s a Friday night, who would stay here? Don’t answer that.” Gojo said, the last part directed at Itadori who was about to open his mouth.

“You three go that way, I’ll go this way.” Gojo demanded, Fushiguro simply huffed. “Of course he wants to split up.” The black haired boy huffed, but followed his classmates regardless. Gojo waved them goodbye, watching the cursed energy surrounding the three slowly disappear. Gojo turned around, allowing his technique to tell him about all of the existing cursed energy so he could deal with the special grade before his students would find it.

The teacher stuffed his hands into his pocket and walked around towards where the cursed energy was the strongest, he knew he had done a good job to sent his students the other way on purpose. The white haired man assumed that one of his students, Fushiguro, was well aware of his plan. Slowly the man approached the curse and clacked his tongue in a playful manner, gaining the attention of the curse in front of him.

“Sssatoru…” it hissed in a snake like manner, looking at Gojo with a certain fascination. “I don’t know yourrr name.” Gojo said, mimicking the curse in an act of annoyance. “Don’t mmmock meee” the curse unleashed, attacking Gojo without thinking. But thanks to Gojo’s technique, nothing was able to harm him.

“Aw, first encounter? I know it’s rough for many curses, but don’t get too hurt over it. I’ll kill you before you can second guess it.” Gojo said way too cheerful for someone who was about to exorcise a curse. The curse attacked again, but where Gojo expected the tingling of the limitless, the attack never quite managed to reach him.

<don’t stand there like that, it could’ve hit you.> a voice said inside Gojo’s head. The man turned around, lifting his blindfold up a little to reveal his blue eye. There he saw a boy with pink hair, green glasses, and two weird hair pins. How odd that I couldn’t sense him… Gojo thought to himself, but shook the thoughts away as fast as they had arrived. He noticed how the green glasses looked at the curse, but actually looked. All Gojo could hear was a sigh and a soft yare yare being muttered before he watched the teenage boy launch himself at the curse.

“Wait! Hold up!” Gojo yelled, watching the recklessness of the teen without any cursed energy. Gojo had made sure that the entire building had been empty before he brought his students with him. Gojo had checked everything, but somehow a weird teen had managed to slip past Gojo’s careful inspection and was now running head first into a special grade curse.

Gojo tried to stop the boy by activating his cursed technique lapse blue, causing everything to get attracted towards him, hoping that the boy would be pulled towards him too. But he somehow managed to slip right  through Gojo’s technique, still heading towards the curse. The curse squeaked in joy, preparing to devour the boy. Gojo teleported next to the boy in order to catch him and pull him away from the curse, but the moment he teleported right next to the boy the boy’s magenta eyes shot towards him and he seemed to teleport himself.

He hit the curse once with his fist. Then once more. And once more. Gojo watched the curse shrink in pain, and Gojo wondered how the boy managed to do that without any cursed energy inside of his body. Another question that arose was how the boy was able to actually see the cursed spirit too. His one eye was still revealed in order to observe the boy, but Gojo then shrugged it off. He’d talk with him later, when the curse was fully exorcised.

“Domain expansion: unlimited void.” He spoke, expanding his domain with the cursed spirit trapped in it. Gojo simply smiled, and with one single hit the curse managed to disappear and the domain was dispelled. The adult man looked at the teenager, the teenager looked at the man. Both only had one thought running through their heads.

WHO IS THIS GUY?!

Kusuo Saiki, one of PK Academy’s psychics, had received a precognitive message that same Friday morning. There was a monster roaming the halls of PK Academy, and Saiki had watched how the monster had attacked a man with white hair. Saiki didn’t question who this man even was, he only saw the destruction left behind which surely would bring a lot of attention towards his average school. Attention the psychic did not want nor need. So, throughout the day Saiki had kept that same exact spot in his mind, often checking the entire building with his powers.

But only when Saiki had thought that perhaps his powers had managed to fail him for once (after not finding what he was looking for the entire day) Saiki decided to check one last time. There he saw a weird dome surrounding his school, and Saiki knew that that would probably mean trouble. His clairvoyance was giving him trouble checking everything from his room, so he had simply no choice but to teleport there and check whatever trouble has bestowed his school. Once he was floating above the school his powers stopped malfunctioning, allowing the psychic to check if his precognitive vision had come true.

When he crossed his eyes he indeed saw the monster he had seen before, with the same white haired man annoying the creature. Saiki could hear more thoughts from the other side of the building, but soon recognised them to be from non PK students. Saiki assumed that the four of them belonged to the same group, since one of them was silently cursing someone called Gojo-sensei. Saiki presumed that the sensei in question was the one about to be slapped by the monster. Saiki sighed, he did not want to intervene whatsoever, but he assumed that the blast that was about to be called forth would cause a damage so great that everyone could hear it. It would attract even more attention when it was mysteriously repaired.

The moment the three minutes cool down was over Saiki teleported again, but this time towards where the teacher was situated. Saiki could hear all kind of weird thoughts. About curses. Veils. Exorcising. Techniques. But after hanging around with Kaidou so much, Saiki simply shrugged the oddness off, and instead made his presence known.

<don’t stand there like that, it could’ve hit you.> Saiki broadcasted telepathically, causing the white haired man to turn around and lift up the edge of his blindfold. A startling blue eye looked straight at the psychic. Then Saiki’s gaze was pulled towards the monster, and Saiki didn’t hesitate any longer. He launched towards the monster.

Saiki saw what would’ve happened if he hadn’t intervened, nor distracted the white haired man. A strong force would be called forwards, destroying both the monster and the right wing of the school. The damage would be strange and inexplicable, also involving a bunch of students who happened to pass by. The news would reach the newspapers, people all over Japan would know about it. Their interest piqued as to what had happened. The other students ambushed in the hopes of any news. One of them spilling that strange things have been happening all around their school for a while now, and eventually Saiki’s secrets would’ve been out.

So it was intervening, or being exposed. A choice easily made.

Saiki’s fist hit the monster, a similar hit happened thrice. He saw the monster visibly flinching by each hit, he could hear the strange man’s thoughts about Saiki before he spoke some strange words. Then, it seemed that he had been locked out of a kind of ball, one that seemed to reflect what seemed to be the infinite void. But only for a few seconds, because as soon as it had appeared it already disappeared. Then the two of them locked eyes, with the same question running through their heads.

WHO IS THIS GUY?!

Satoru Gojo nonchalantly pushed his hands back into his pockets, as if nothing has happened at all. As if encountering a special grade curse and a weird teenage boy was completely normal. He saw a pink eyebrow being lifted up as a pair of magenta coloured eyes looked at him through green tinted glasses.

<what happened to the monster?> the boy asked, Gojo simply smiled. “Don’t worry about that! It’s completely gone. This is aaaallll just a really weird dream!” Gojo said, taking his hands out of his pockets to wiggle his fingers at the last sentence. The boy easily slapped the man-child’s ridiculous behaviour away. <don’t act like I’m asleep. I was well aware of the monster’s presence.> the boy said, dropping the act of making it look like he spoke with his mouth since Gojo’s blindfold had been down again. Saiki wasn’t quite sure how the man was able to see anything while walking around like a complete fool, but that was the least of his problems.

The two people in the right wing of the school continued to stare each other down. A pair of magenta eyes behind green glasses focused on a blindfold. “How did you manage to hit that monster without any cursed energy? Are you born enhanced like Itadori?” Gojo asked the psychic. A soft huff could be hurt coming from the boy. <you could call it that. But not in the way you assume.> Saiki said, hinting at the fact that he was indeed different than others.

“Mmm and mind telling me what you’re doing here fighting a monster and stealing my job?” Gojo asked, his voice playful and daunting once again. <I saw the damage that you were about to inflict and couldn’t let that happen for personal reasons. Now, if we’re done talking here I have other plans.> Saiki said, ready to teleport out and leave the white haired man stunted behind. That was until Gojo suddenly grabbed Saiki’s bare wrist, skin touching skin and Saiki received all of the psychometric information that was stored into Gojo.

Saiki suddenly saw the world how Gojo saw it. Dark purple lines of cursed energy floating through buildings, marking a clear pathway of where things were located. Saiki saw the marks of the monster being left behind in the building, the weak cursed energy on the other end of the building from 3 people and the infinity as Gojo experienced it. Saiki couldn’t help but gasp as he pulled his hand away. He could still see the marks of the cursed energy, but they were slowly fading away.

“Never do that again.” Saiki croaked, this time using his actual voice in shock. Gojo simply shrugged, not knowing what had actually happened. “I can’t let you just walk away. You’ve seen the cursed spirit, you might tell someone about us.” Gojo said, Saiki simply rolled his eyes.

<I don’t have any friends, don’t worry about that. Now…> Saiki said, trailing off at the end as he was about to teleport away again, but Gojo simply grabbed him once more, this time grabbing the boy’s sleeve instead of wrist. “You don’t seem freaked out.” Gojo said, Saiki simply chuckled. <how can you even see with that ridiculous blindfold?> Saiki asked, half genuine and curious.

“Cursed energy.” Was Gojo’s answer, Saiki simply shook his head. He didn’t care what this cursed energy was that the taller man kept rambling about, if Saiki was being honest, he thought that his entire existence was starting to feel like a curse.

“I’m going to introduce you to my students! Perhaps they know what to do with you.” Gojo said, ready to pull Saiki behind him. <I didn’t agree to that. And I don’t want to meet any of your students. If you’re worried that I’m going to spread around the nonsense you’ve been selling today, don’t worry. My lips are sealed.> Saiki said, but Gojo pulled the psychic behind him regardless. Saiki was curious where this would lead him, if only a little, so, he allowed himself to get dragged behind.

Nobara Kugisaki sighed in annoyance at the fact that they were forced to split up and only had to deal with 3 grade 4 curses. The trio had taken them out in a minute and were now wandering through the empty building. “We’ve seen everything now. Let’s just go back to Gojo sensei.” Itadori suggested, already turning around to go back. Kugisaki grabbed the boy’s hood in order to keep him from leaving, causing the boy to nearly choke due to the force.

“We still have one corridor left.” Kugisaki grumbled, causing Itadori to groan in slight pain and irritation. “You really think it’d come down to one corridor?” Itadori whined, but Kugisaki dragged him along regardless. The trio checked the last corridor, only to be met with nothing. Itadori stuck his tongue out like a 5 years old child, which Kugisaki returned in a mocking gesture. “It’s like I’m paired with a pair of toddlers.” Fushiguro mumbled underneath his breath, but didn’t do anything else than complain.

The three of them made their way back to where they had split up with their teacher, only to find him there annoying a boy with pink hair. “Hey, he likes pink hair too!” Itadori smiled, causing Fushiguro to roll his eyes as they approached the teacher with the strange boy.

“Oi Gojo sensei, we’re back.” Kugisaki exclaimed, marking their presence so the two people in front of them would look at them. “Took you long enough. My new friend Saiki here was getting impatient.” Gojo said, clacking his tongue once more. <we are not friends.> Saiki said, trying to escape the heavy arm draped around his shoulders.

“Why is he here?” Fushiguro asked, causing Gojo to smile. “I’m glad you asked! We ran into a special grade together!” Gojo continued to smile. “Whaaatt? And he’s completely alright?” Itadori asked, Gojo grinned while nodding. “He also posses zero cursed energy!” Gojo said, causing his students to stare at him in shock.

“Why is he still here with us?!” Itadori exclaimed, Kugisaki nodded. “Wouldn’t it be better to just leave him here instead of making him realise that everything is real?” She suggested. Gojo simply shrugged. “He promised not to tell anyone.”

“AND YOU BELIEVE HIM?” All of the students yelled at the same time. Gojo nodded with all confidence. “He told me he’s not the same as other people, and I believe him. But he also told me to keep it to myself, so sadly I can’t elaborate. But you did meet each other!” Gojo said, his students continued to stare at him with open mouth.

What is even going on? They all thought. Saiki had to agree. The existence of psychics was something he had learned from an early age on since he was one himself. He always assumed that they were others, but ever meeting one always seemed out of the question. Saiki had believed for years that he was the only one cursed like this, thinking that other psychics existed in theory, but not in practice.

Then he had met Mikoto and Toritsuka. And with that, he had learned that ghosts were very real too. That wasn’t hard to wrap his mind around, but this time it was a little bit harder. Because apparently curses exist too. They manifest from negative emotions, often finding their existence in school building, hospitals, cemeteries etc. Then there were also people called jujutsu sorcerers who fought these curses in order to exorcise the curse. Saiki didn’t show any sign of distress at the new information he had received from the white haired man, who soon explained everything that was going on after Saiki had revealed his secret.

“Tell me, what are you?” Gojo asked, slumping an arm on the boy’s shoulders. <I’m a psychic, but you probably won’t believe me.> Saiki said. “Who says I don’t? I grew up in one of the most powerful families who taught me as much as I know today. Nothing is too weird for me.” Gojo said, Saiki raised an eyebrow at the mental image of Gojo’s family and everything that passed through the man’s head.

“Show me what you can, psychic.” Gojo then asked, leading into Saiki showing his powers, the blindfold being lifted a little once again. “It’s nice to meet someone with no cursed energy whatsoever. Somehow you manage to be completely invisible, even for my technique.” Gojo continued before he gave a 101 in jujutsu history, briefly explaining the most important things. “Anyway, my students will arrive soon. I’ll promise not to tell your secret in exchange of ours, deal?” Gojo said, annoying the psychic by poking him. Saiki’s face crumbled, but he did give in. <deal.>

For Satoru Gojo the existence of curses was something he grew up with. Being a member of the Gojo family with both the six eyes and the infinity technique, nothing seemed too crazy nor impossible for him. After all, he was the strongest. But somehow, the existence of psychics (people with powers, but with barely any cursed energy) seemed somewhat hard for him to understand. Thanks to his technique he can see his surroundings, regardless of actually using his eyes or not based upon the cursed energy running through things.

People also hold a little amount of cursed energy, often coming from any negative emotions, yet they are unable to properly use it and thus their cursed energy is completely useless. But the boy in front of him didn’t have any negative emotions, thus stating completely off his radar.

“Well, I guess it’s time for us to go back to school, don’t you think? You guys go ahead, I want to hug my friend goodbye.” Gojo said, the three students looked oddly at their sensei, but obeyed regardless. The moment they were out of Gojo’s earshot they erupted into wild whispers about the boy.

<you know they’re talking about us, right?> Saiki asked, Gojo simply nodded. “It’s okay, they’re simply wary. But what I wanted to ask you, in case we would somehow get into trouble that even I have a difficulty to solve (even though the case would be very, VERY rare) would you come and help us?” Gojo asked, Saiki shook his head.

<not interested.> the psychic said, the sorcerer shrugged. “Well, I tried.” Gojo said, finally freeing Saiki from his heavy arm. <that’s it? No pushing, no pestering, none of that?> Saiki asked suspiciously. “None of that. I get where you’re coming from. After all, I think we might be on a par power wise. We’re both blessed with god like abilities, after all.” Gojo said.

<don’t act like you and I are the same. My abilities are nothing but a pain.> Saiki said, slowly growing annoyed. “And so are mine. But at the end of the day, we still rely on them. Otherwise we both wouldn’t be here. Goodbye, Kusuo Saiki. Until we meet again.” Gojo said, patting Saiki on the shoulder. <hey, I didn’t agree with your request.> Saiki remarked as the white haired man started to leave. Blindfold on again.

“I know. But I don’t care. See you.” Gojo grinned, following his students towards the waiting car. The veil outside the school had been lifted. Gojo was the last one to get in. “Where’s your friend?” Itadori asked. “Don’t worry, you’ll meet him again Yuji.” Gojo smiled, this time patting Itadori on the head as a dog in order to stop the pout. “I hope so, I quite liked his hair.” Itadori said, causing both Fushiguro and Kugisaki to huff. “So did I. He reminded me of you.” Gojo continued. He reminded me of myself too. Gojo thought as he looked at the building before the car drove off.

Saiki stared at the car, watching it turn around a corner and completely disappear out of sight. Saiki sighed and closed his eyes before teleporting back to his bedroom. There he plopped on his bed, too tired and exhausted from his encounter with the most annoying person. (Perhaps not most annoying, since he was quite sure that Satoru Gojo wasn’t someone like his classmates who would make it a daily mission to bother him, but he managed to score quite high on the list).

Yare yare, Satoru Gojo, you sure are quite a pain. Saiki thought as he rubbed the bridge of his nose. Sometimes when Saiki would close his eyes and empty his head, he could still see the soft afterglow of the cursed energy running through everything. Somehow it managed to bring some kind of wicked comfort into knowing that the encounter with the monster was quite real.

Saiki had dealed with volcanoes, meteors, high school drama and his crazy psycho of a brother, and now with curses too. Another thing to put on my resume. Saiki thought, his eyes still closed. Despite the psychic’s head being flooded with other people’s thoughts and how they were thinking about their day, he couldn’t help but think about Gojo’s words.

We’re both blessed with god like abilities, after all.

It wouldn’t be for quite some months until Kusuo Saiki would received a distress signal from a person he had nearly forgotten about . The psychic had pushed the strange encounter to the back of his head, not even being allowed to think twice about that day since certain nuisances kept on bothering him. But the message was loud and clear. Psychic, I need your godlike abilities. And perhaps, Saiki thought, Gojo was right. They were both blessed in different ways, but cursed in others. Saiki pushed his green glasses a bit higher on his nose before teleporting to aid the man he had met months ago.

Yare yare, this better be serious. Saiki thought. He wasn’t necessarily that fond of the man, but couldn’t help but see their countless resemblance and differences. But in case Gojo was indeed simply just joking and being as annoying as the day Saiki had met him, the psychic wouldn’t hesitate to kick his ass in order to put him into place.
