The stream starts up, with the usual waiting screen slowly fading away as two figures become more visible to the viewers. Venti waves at the camera with a big grin, and Xiao follows suit- albeit a smaller wave.
“Hello everybody! Missed me?” Venti laughs, “Today is a special day! I, the great Venti, have convinced the one and only Xiao to play osu with me!”

Venti reaches for the tablet, carefully explaining the goal of the game (and how not to end up like a certain ginger). Xiao nods along, eyes occasionally trailing to the smile his beloved always wore- beautiful in every way. The comments flooded, and he ignored them as best as he can, cheeks lightly flushed.
“For your first one, we’ll have our good friends choose!” The singer-streamer piped up, looking straight at the camera for this one. “So, which song should our dear Xiao play?”

L0EX Oh the more stars, the harder the difficulty plus 4 stars up is pretty hard for someone who’s never played
Teal eyes narrow at the comments, before widening in surprise. “Oh, it’s Keqing!” He exclaims, scrolling up the chat to find his friend’s comment.
He nudges Xiao, urging him to take a look at the screen. The teal-haired boy huffs, before leaning back on the couch. He didn’t understand exactly what Venti wanted to show him- Keqing was nothing more than a person he tolerates. Albeit only because she was Ganyu’s girlfriend.
“Ooh, I think I already have that map downloaded!” Xiao watches as Venti scrambles to scroll through the many maps he had already downloaded, fumbling with the mouse before finally coming to a halt.
“Here we are!” He scooches over to hand Xiao the tablet pen, giving him a big smile, “We’ll start with a two star then make our way up” Venti’s hands move over to wave at the handcam, before pointing at the X and Z keys.
“Press either when the circle--”
“I know how to play osu, Venti” Xiao interrupts before the songwriter could go into a full ramble, “The basics, at the very least.”
“Of course, of course. I’m just really hyped up” Venti’s voice comes off almost sheepish, and he softly giggles. Xiao’s expression softens, and he nods. The song starts off easy enough- even though he’s only ever learned the bare minimum, Xiao at least knew better than to spam click.

The speed of the circles appearing starts to accelerate at a high pace, but Xiao sat still, focused on the screen as his hand moved around the tablet, fingers almost losing grip on the pen. The viewers could hear the loud keyboard clicking (courtesy of Venti’s love for clicky keyboards).
Venti continued to read the chat, occasionally replying to a few people here and there, before checking back on Xiao. It appears he had just finished the map, and it takes a while for the results of the song to display.
“You look tired for someone who played a two star map, are you sure you weren’t just spamming on the keyboard?” Venti joked as he pointed at Xiao’s sweaty hands. His boyfriend only huffs in response, tearing his hands away from the keyboard and tablet.
The rank displays, and to Venti’s expectation, it was an S with a full combo. His eyes then glossed over the screen, checking the performance graph, then at the performance points before-- holy shit how did he get 324 pp .

He then quickly checks the star rate and the face he had made was surely to be clipped, shared, and saved for generations to come. His head whips back to stare at Xiao, before jumping onto him with wide arms.
“Xiao! You’re an osu prodigy! That was a six star, are you sure you only know the basics?” Venti pauses, then lets out an audible gasp, “Were you practicing with someone else?!”
Venti was practically tackling Xiao at this point, shaking his shoulders like there was no tomorrow. In the midst of Venti’s constant questions, what interrupts him is a soft chuckle. Cyan eyes stare right into golden ones, and Xiao could do nothing but look away.
The streamer quickly fixes himself up, then looks right into the camera, “Please tell me somebody will clip that”

The statement made the ex-yaksha’s heart flutter, and the second stifled chuckle of the stream slips out. Needless to say, chaos ensues, the stream chat goes absolutely wild, the simps rejoice, and Tartaglia, Eleventh Fatui Harbinger, suffers his second defeat of the day.
