After the sentient quirk bomb was dropped on the class a few weeks prior they started to recognize Midoriya’s little habits that were related to his quirk. Such as the zoning out or the pronoun switching in conversation, he seemed to prefer ‘we’ but did not identify with they/them unless a certain criteria was met, and the class quickly adjusted. As he became more comfortable with his quirk and in turn the class knowing about them, he could be spotted becoming more relaxed. The class was enjoying getting to know this other side of Izuku, any unease the class had originally faced with knowing of his quirk’s sentience had been thrown out the window the moment they witnessed him having to seemingly referee a match of rock, paper, scissors in the middle of a study session.
They also learned more about his quirk. He told them about the feelings he would get when they had first manifested, and how he knew they weren't his own but he couldn't tell why. He explained how they seemingly spent their time hanging out in the back of his conscious mind and tried to kill time while he was in class. The class later set up a contest to find games for up to 7 players, seeing as Midoriya only knew ‘go fish’ and hadn’t had time to finish memorizing his ‘Uno’ deck.
Midoriya relaxed, he seemed less on guard due to trying to half-hide his quirk.; though it seems the hiding was only somewhat intentional. That's why when his quirk started ‘breaking through’ more no one was really surprised.

A group had gathered in the kitchen after training to make their respective afternoon snacks. Kirishima and Kaminari sharing the fruit tray they had snagged out of the communal fridge. Everyone was bustling around and finding what they wanted, it was hectic but in the best kind of way. There was the sound of a chair scraping the floor followed by a shockingly stern voice.
“Don't you dare put that in your mouth Denki.”
The students froze and looked towards the green haired boy who had previously been cutting an apple at the counter. Their eyes glowing slightly as they stood, the knife poised mid-chop.
“Sorry?” Kaminari said from his semi-crouching position. It was obvious that he had just picked up a dropped piece of banana from the floor. The boy looked slightly terrified as he rose to throw the slice away.
“Thank you”
Midoriya’s eyes dim and a look of embarrassment overtakes the stern eyebrows that had been there not a minute before.
“Uhh.. Sorry, They’re kind of overprotective” Midoriya says, looking back at his cutting.
‘Overprotective! Do you know how long it has been since I've seen someone sweep that floor! He could get sick! Then what would he do about training?’ Nana raves.
“That’s his own choice, if he wants to be dumb and get food poisoning from ‘floor food’ we have to let him.” Izuku says, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“But now that isn't even a factor because we stopped it!” his voice sounding a bit more feminine as they argue back and forth.
“Please dont parent my friends you already do that to me enough.” Midoriya sighs out defeated.
”Oh hush you love it when we parent you.” Midoriya’s face flushes red at the remark.
The class watches stunned at the discussion happening before them. They never would have guessed that Midoriya becoming more relaxed in the dorms would mean that his quirk would respond in kind. They also didn’t expect his quirk to be more ‘nurturing’ than dark shadow was to Tokoyami. The group resolves to act like it never happened and continue enjoying their snacks, that was just too weird.

Slowly but surely Midoriya’s quirk started to pop in at seemingly random times. They would remind the group of a forgotten assignment, or whisper to Mina about a homework question Izuku couldn't help with on his own. They were also able to catch when Izuku’s quirk had berated him over his teenage proclivities, such as not getting enough sleep or not drinking enough water during training.
One thing that was obviously clear to the class was the quirk’s discomfort with speaking outside of the dorms. It took about a week after the initial kitchen incident to realize that the same had not happened in the classroom. Midoriya himself looked to still be a bit closed off in front of his teachers, speaking quietly into his hand when responding to his quirk during class.
All of the teachers for 1-A were aware of Midoriya and his quirk but none except Aizawa and All Might had witnessed the quirk’s interaction with the boy. The class decided that they would make ‘En’ feel welcome. They had taken to referring to Midoriya’s quirk as such after they found that he didn't have a name for them in the first place, It was short for ‘Energy’ seeing as that's how they had manifested. The past holders of One for All had a grand time laughing about how the class had inadvertently gotten one of their names right.
The class did subtle things such as asking Dark shadow to hang out outside of Tokoyami when they had free time, and directing a few questions at both sentient quirks during non-class related conversations. Nothing had any effect on the quirk or user to make them interact with them during class.
They had no idea it would take the quirk’s need to parent people to pull them out in class.

Homeroom was the class's favorite; the topics Aizawa-sensei covered were different from any of their normal topics, and most of the time he just let them have some free time to start off their day.
Today when their teacher entered they knew something was wrong.
Aizawa staggered into the 1-A classroom with no regard to how utterly wrecked he looked, seemingly dazed. His hair was disheveled and he sported a black eye and a busted lip. It was obvious to the class he had patrolled the night before, and that it did not go quite to plan.
“Alright class today we are going to cover-” Aizawa started to try lecturing the class when he heard the sound of a distorted but unamused sigh.
“Aizawa-san, why would you possibly think today of all days would be good to actually lecture”
The class turns to see the En has broken through and has pleasantly crossed their hands on the desk, the picture of a disgruntled guardian.
“I'm doing my job, I’m a pro hero. I can't just take off when I’m hurt.” Aizawa quickly shoots back, looking as if he had already had this conversation once this morning.
“We are not asking you if you can do your job. We are asking why you decided to come to class AND LECTURE when you are obviously concussed.”
“What else would you have me do?” He asks, obviously irritated at being called out by a student’s quirk.
“Why don't we just have a quiet morning? I'm sure the class wouldn’t mind. Iida-kun, please dim the lights” Iida moves to turn out one of the switches. The students slyly smiled in triumph, the quirk’s outburst in the classroom showed that they had facilitated some level of comfort for the quirk.
The class happily sat in the dark for the rest of their homeroom texting back and forth, allowing Aizawa to rest in his usual corner, though it resembled brooding more than resting. Midoriya put his head on his desk silently cursing the fact that his quirk had reprimanded a teacher.
None of the teachers were going to believe that he totally got scolded like a child by a quirk, the Problem Childs quirk nonetheless...
