Summary
Supernaturals haven't been in the NFL very long.
Aaron Rodgers was the first Supernatural drafted into the NFL alongside a Buffalo draft pick. Some vampire wide receiver whose name would be forgotten.
So, vampires and werewolves were welcomed into the NFL, especially after the success of Aaron Rodgers. The third group of supernaturals known to man, however, were not.
Until Patrick Mahomes, witch out of Texas Tech, was drafted to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Sure, witches had been utilized in the NFL. Used as a last resort to try and fix career-ending injuries, the occasional charm here and there for luck, and of course, the supernaturals of the league went to witches to help suppress any side effects of being supernatural. Vampires cured their inability to be in the sun with a charm from a witch.
However, this was different.
As Aaron Rodgers watched the rookie quarterback step onto the stage to take his jersey, a black cat familiar following him, he had the inkling of a suspicion that Patrick Mahomes would change the way that witches were viewed forever.
