Work Text:
Whether it’s the kettle, a firework or a loud bang on the television, all a noise has to do is sound even vaguely like a gunshot and it sends Thomas spiraling into a panic. Like right now, when the toaster pings and Thomas lets out a little shriek, his whole body flinching like he got an electric shock, hands trembling and eyes wide with fear.
“Just the toaster,” Julian says under his breath, and Thomas scowls and mumbles some bollocks or other about not being scared - but Julian notices how Thomas’ hands have stopped shaking, and gives the annoying prick a smug grin in return.
