TK couldn’t help but sigh, his eyes squinting into the darkness of the room as he shifted in his seat.
The body beside him shifted too and he heard a sigh leave his boyfriend’s lips as well.
“What is wrong TK?” He huffed as he sank back against the couch cushions, his arms crossing over his chest as he fixed his eyes on the movie before them.
“Nothing.” He was full of shit and they both knew it, hell, he wasn’t even going to try and deny it anymore.
“Bullshit.” Apparently Carlos wasn’t denying it anymore either. “Talk to me.”
The movie stopped and suddenly Carlos was sitting upright beside him and his eyes were trying to bore into TK’s soul.
“It’s nothing, babe, really.” He was being childish and dammit if he wasn’t fully aware of that.
“TK, if you don’t talk to me, I’m leaving.” Okay, well that was a little childish now too wasn’t it?
“This is your apartment.” Not that that would stop him, it certainly hadn’t before.
“It’s our apartment.” Oh yeah, that’s right, it was wasn’t it? “Now tell me what’s wrong.”
“It’s silly.” And he was going to laugh at him and then he’d just feel ridiculous and he was just not in the mood for it all. “Don’t worry about it, Los, please.”
“Ty, if something’s on your mind…” He huffed as he hung his head and mumbled under his breath, causing Carlos to reach out and lift his chin upward. “Say that again.”
“I just really wanted to watch something… different.” See, childish, absolutely childish.
It’s just that they had seen this particular movie at least ten times in the last few months.
And while he knew it was a favorite of Carlos’, it was not a favorite of his.
“Okay…” Carlos looked at him like he had six heads and he knew that he was going over all the reasons why he should just kick him out right then and there. “What do you want to watch?”
“I don’t know.” He fell back against the couch once more and that was when he realized that his boyfriend had officially lost it.
Because the next thing he knew he was doubling over in a fit of laughter, one hand going to rest on TK’s thigh as the other ran over his face.
“Wait, TK, are you telling me that you don’t like this movie?” He shook his head back and forth, which just resulted in Carlos laughing even more. “Oh my God. I can’t…”
He took a few deep breaths and TK straightened himself up as he raised an eyebrow in the other man’s direction.
He was almost certain he was going to combust from all the laughing he was doing.
“TK, I’ve only been playing this movie so much because I thought you liked it.” Oh for the love of God, he had been torturing them for no reason.
“I hate this movie, Carlos.” And then his boyfriend stopped laughing and shot him a serious look.
“Seriously?” He nodded his head up and down and then Carlos started laughing again.
But this time TK joined in.
“I can’t believe we’ve been torturing ourselves with this movie for six months now.” He barely got the words out before he dissolved into another fit of giggles, his hands reaching out for Carlos’ as he blinked back the tears in his eyes.
He couldn’t remember the last time he had laughed so hard he started crying.
But it was exactly what he needed after the week he had had.
“Alright, I’m turning this dreaded thing off.” Carlos grabbed the remote and stopped the movie, the Netflix home page coming back to the screen before them. “Wanna pick something different?”
“Actually…” TK tugged on the other man’s hand, causing his attention to turn in his direction. “I was thinking of a few other things we could do instead…”
“Oh really now?” The TV was turned off immediately, causing the room to go almost completely dark.
He felt Carlos’ lips press against his neck as he moved to straddle his waist, his hands framing his head as he nipped at TK’s shoulder.
And by God he had never been more thankful for a horrible movie in his entire life.
