Work Text:
“Bas,” Kurt whined, sitting up in his double bed, “come back to bed. I’m cold.”
“I’ll be there soon,” Sebastian replied, hunched over at his desk. “I need to study the anatomy of the human body.”
Kurt smirked, an idea forming in his head. “Wouldn’t you rather study this body?” He slowly removed the blanket from around himself, revealing his naked body.
Sebastian turned around to see what Kurt was talking about. He stared at Kurt for a long time, taking him all in. “No wonder you’re cold,” he said, but he closed his book and climbed onto the bed. “You know, if I fail my art exam, I’m blaming you.”
“It’ll be worth it.” Kurt pulled Sebastian on top of him and gave him a long, passionate kiss. He tugged at the hem of Sebastian’s shirt. “This needs to go.”
“But then we’ll both be cold.”
“Trust me, I think there’s enough heat here to set the room on fire.”
Sebastian grinned and took his shirt off in one swift motion. “Done.”
Kurt ran a finger down Sebastian’s bare chest, never getting tired of the perfect view. He could never find the words to describe how beautiful he found Sebastian; he was rendered speechless every time he looked at his boyfriend. “I love you.”
Sebastian tilted Kurt’s head up with a finger, so his deep blue eyes were staring into Sebastian’s piercing green ones. “I love you, too.”
Kurt beamed and planted a kiss on Sebastian’s lips. “Shall we do this?”
“Abso-” Sebastian was cut off by Rachel storming into their bedroom.
“Kurt!” she snapped, being completely oblivious to their position. “You will never guess what Santana did!”
“What?” Kurt asked. He gently pushed Sebastian off of him so he was lying beside Kurt.
“Santana auditioned to be my understudy!”
“And your point is, Berry?” Sebastian scoffed.
“She broke my trust!”
“She didn’t audition for the lead. She has every right to be your understudy.”
“I agree with Bas,” Kurt said.
“Of course you do!” Rachel spat. “I miss when you two hated each other.” She stormed out of their bedroom.
Sebastian smirked and wrapped his arms around Kurt, pulling him close. “Do you miss when we hated each other?”
“Mm, I do miss our sexual tension, but I like being able to see you without having to carefully plan what I wear so you can’t insult me.”
Sebastian kissed Kurt’s cheek. “You know you can always be yourself around me, babe,” he murmured into his ear.
“You as well.”
“Aside from my polos.”
“Just don’t pop the collars.”
“We better get some sleep.” Sebastian reached forward and turned off the lamp. “I have to go back to my place in the morning.”
Kurt let out a small groan. “Can’t you just move in?”
“I’d love to, but I think Berry’s head would actually explode if I did.”
“And that’s a negative?”
“Shut up. You know you really love her.”
“I know that I love you.”
Sebastian smiled and closed his eyes. “Yeah, I love you too.”
When Kurt woke up in the morning, Sebastian was gone. It wasn’t surprising, as Kurt had slept in for two more hours than usual. He was pleased to see that his boyfriend had had the decency to clean up the mess he had left the night before, a habit he had formed from months of Kurt’s complaining about the place being untidy.
Kurt got out of bed, stretched, and made his way into the kitchen. Rachel handed him a cup of coffee as soon as she laid eyes on him.
“Thank you.”
“If you want toast, you’re out of luck. Sebastian used the last pieces of bread,” she said.
“Okay. I’ll buy some more later.”
She glared at him. “Really? Nothing about him using our food?”
“He pretty much lives here; he can have whatever he wants. When Brody ‘visited’, he ate all my cereal.”
Rachel sighed. “So, you guys are a thing, then.”
“We have been for months. Get used to it.”
“I just- I don’t understand how you guys happened.”
“We fell in love.”
“In love? Kurt, this is the same guy that tried to blind Blaine.”
“That was a misunderstanding that happened, like, two years ago. Why don’t you want me to be happy?”
“I do,” Rachel touched his arm gently, “but how do you know he won’t hurt you?”
“I trust him. And if he does hurt me, well, that’s part of life. I’d rather fall in love and get hurt than never fall in love at all.” Kurt felt his phone vibrate in his pocket and smiled as he took it out and read the text.
Sebastian: hey, killer :) wanna meet me after college?
“You really do love him, don’t you?” Rachel said softly.
“So much that it’s hard to believe it wasn’t love at first sight.”
Kurt waited for Sebastian outside of his college, two coffee cups in his hand. His boyfriend walked out of the college and sighed happily as he set his eyes on Kurt.
“Thank you,” Sebastian said, accepting the hot drink gratefully. “You are a lifesaver.”
Kurt smiled and took Sebastian’s free hand in his own. “How was school?”
“Stressful. As. Hell. Seriously, you are so lucky that you work for Vogue. That has got to be, like, the calmest thing ever.”
“Clearly you haven’t seen Isabelle when she has a bad hair day.” Kurt squeezed his hand. “I am really proud of you, though. You’re doing what you’re passionate about.”
“Even if it’s going to make me lose all my hair before I turn 21?”
Kurt freed his hand from Sebastian’s to ruffle his already-messy hair. “We’ll figure it out. Together.”
“I like the sound of that. So, what are we doing tonight?”
“I thought that we could continue our conversation from last night.”
“What was that, exactly?”
“About us moving in together. I was being serious and you seemed to treat it as a joke.”
“Oh.” Sebastian absentmindedly fixed his hair back into place. “You really want us to move in together?”
“Don’t you?”
“It’s just a really big step, you know?”
“You’re acting like it’s a marriage proposal.” Kurt chuckled.
“No, that would be easy, because you’d handle everything. Meanwhile, I will have to be the one to pack up all of my stuff and pay for moving companies and crap.”
“Hey,” Kurt stopped walking and delicately stroked Sebastian’s cheek, “what’s going on? Why aren’t you taking this seriously?”
Sebastian bit his lip. “Are we ready for this?”
“I think we are. I mean, we’re pretty much together all the time. And my place is so much closer to college than yours. And your current roommate is a little creepy. Plus-”
“Okay, let’s do it.” Sebastian grinned. “You seem to have it all figured out and I trust your judgement. Let’s move in together.”
Sebastian began to unpack the small bag he had prepared a few hours earlier. It contained all the things he would need for a few days until he could start and move in properly. He had just finished putting away some things in the bathroom when someone grabbed his arm and spun him around.
“Hey, roomie,” Kurt murmured.
“I like the sound of that,” Sebastian replied.
Kurt stroked Sebastian’s chest, which was still covered by his thin t-shirt. “You know, this loft has a pretty specific dress code.”
“Oh, what is it?”
“No clothes allowed.” Kurt smirked and pulled Sebastian’s shirt off.
“I think I’m going to like living here.”
Kurt pulled Sebastian into their bedroom and pushed him onto the bed. He crawled on top of Sebastian and kissed his nose. “Hi.”
“Hi.”
Rachel barged into the room again, an irritated look on her face.
“God,” Sebastian muttered, “just realised our roommate is the ultimate cock blocker.”
“Kurt,” Rachel spat, “why are there so many hair products in our bathroom now?”
Sebastian flashed her his signature grin. “Sorry, they’re mine. Good news, though. I’m moving in with you guys.”
