He wanted to know.
He wanted how his girl had gotten that faintly tan colored scar that spread ever so lightly on her left arm.
It wasnt very noticeable on first glance , but if you looked long enough you could see the skin undergo discoloration as it moved from below her elbow to just above her palm.
He felt angry whenever he looked at it, because he believed some alien they had fought had hurt her to the point they had left something so permanent.
A scar on his girl.
“Hey Gwen?”
“Yeah?” She asked quietly as she laid her head on her hand, looking at the the trees running past the car window.
“How did you get that scar on your arm?”
She froze. Had it been that noticeable? She had used her healing abilities on it, however it hadn’t been much of a success since the wound had been around for a while, long before she had developed the ability to heal. It had been too late.
“ is it from a fight?” He asked. He wanted a name so if they were ever to cross paths, he could pound them extra hard for hurting her.
He was crazy. Crazy for her.
“ umm yeah, I guess it is.”
“ with who?”
She thought over it for a second.
“ vilgax”
Kevin didn’t say anything after that and she was relieved. It wasnt exactly a lie, vilgax was there.
She couldn’t tell him, not at that moment, not ever. It would kill him if he knew the truth and hurting him was the last thing she ever wanted to do.
