Work Text:
They wanted him to take the little girl, so he did. Something when wrong in the process and the clone came out blond and female. The baby reminded him so much of the sister he lost. A defective they said, if you want to keep it you better speak now they told him. Watching the little girl squirm about in her tube, he felt his heart grow. Part of the deal he made was to get a son, an heir. There was no mention of a daughter, but having this child grow along side his Boba, they could be the siblings he and his sister Arla never got the chance to be. He nods his answer and the Kaminoan gives him the same speech from when his son was born and a notice that more supplies for the other child will be delivered to his apartment, giving him a curt nod before leaving with the snap of the door behind him.
Time ticks to slow as the decanting process begins. Slowly the amniotic fluid drains and leaves him with a tiny fragile life left in a cold tube. As the child starts to whimper he hurriedly wraps her in a soft, baby pink, flora baby blanket. Matching the soft, baby blue, flora baby blanket he wrapped his baby son into a week earlier.
His son too young to understand where this blond baby suddenly came from and why she is in his crib. He's a baby after all. But as he lays his daughter down in the bassinet next to the boy, he coos and using all his strength wiggles his way to his sister. Now, now he has twins, he has twins. His twins. Looking down at the two infants, he knows he must name his daughter.
Boba he named after his fathers. Boba Jasper Fett, Boba for his dad and Jasper for his buir. He decides that the girl, who looks so much like his sister and mother, that will be her name, Arla Mary Fett. Arla for his sister. Mary for his mother. Perfect, it's perfect.
He reads over the file given to him about his daughter. "Omega" is her code. He opens his son's file at that moment. Boba's cover name is "Alpha". Alpha and Omega. Omega and Alpha. First and last. Boba's alpha to Arla's omega. Arla's omega to Boba's alpha. It's wonderful he thinks.
Twins will be harder that one child. But as he feeds his children Arla's first night home, he sees them grasps hands, curling into the safety of another. And how they cry when he tries to place them apart at bed and how they calm and curl to the other, making adorable sounds seemingly talking to each other with their own language once he places them together, he knows, that these two are worth everything he can give them and more. Boba and Arla. Alpha and Omega. The Fett Twins.
