Chapter Text
Keith had been back with team Voltron for a few days now but he felt different. Not that he wasn’t, he was half galra after all. He knew that it was his relationship with the team that felt different. He left to be with the blade of Marmora to learn more about himself and maybe find out about his mom. Fortunately, he got the chance to meet her but she wasn’t the loving type. His mother did care about him but she had a hard time sharing affection. When Keith came back to team Voltron, he told them all his stories about his time in the blade of Marmora and about his mother.
Everyone seemed interesting in his story, except for Lance. Lance just kept to himself and went back to his room in the Castle.
“Lance, uh hey” Keith said
“What is it?” Lance asked
“You just seemed like you didn’t want to listen to any of my stories” Keith said
“That’s cause I don’t want too okay” Lance answered
“Oh well if you change your mind let me know” Keith said disappointed
“Yeah I probably won’t” Lance said sadly
Lance went into his room and as the hollow door closed, Keith sighed. He and Lance never really saw eye to eye; when Keith left Lance really seemed like he would miss him. Keith was harder on Lance during team training and on missions because sometimes Lance was a goofball. However, during his time away Keith couldn’t get Lance out of his head. It was strange to Keith.
“Maybe he hates me for leaving” Keith thought
Keith went back to the deck of the ship. Pidge and Hunk were testing out new gadgets, Allura and Coran were analyzing data from their last mission, and Shiro was planning out their next strategy for a new mission.
“It’s good to be back” Keith thought
The Next Day
Team Voltron were on a mission to an uncharted planet.
"Alright team, this planet is known for transporting the inhabitants across the galaxy, be very careful and stay alert. Keith wasn't too worried about Allura, Hunk, or Pidge but he was worried about Lance. Lance was still distant with him and Keith didn't like this one bit.
Keith decided that he would patrol with Lance on this mission instead of Hunk.
"Hey Lance can we talk please?" Keith asked
"Uh sure I guess" Lance answered unsure
"Okay I know your probably angry with me for leaving but I'm sorry I really am" Keith said
"I wasn't angry about you leaving, I understood that you had family out there in space. You would do anything to see them" Lance answered
"Then what is it?" Keith asked
Before Lance could answer, Shiro turned on the communication links.
"Everybody get back to the ship now! This ship has 30 seconds before it moves to another side of the galaxy" Shiro yelled
Team Voltron races back to the ship as they can, but Keith and lance don't make it. Their lions are transported with them along with the planet to another part of space
