Summary
Castiel is losing the war in heaven, Crowley is insufferable, and Dean Winchester is broken with his brother Sam trapped in Hell. When the demon king proposes an insane plan that will save them all, Cas doesn't feel like he has many better options. It sounds simple enough: Cas and Dean will travel through Hell, reach the Cage, and set Sam free. With only each other, a backpack full of ammo and peanut M&Ms, and a worn-out copy of Dante’s Inferno, Cas and Dean embark on an epic journey to bring Sam home.
They follow the road, and along the way learn as much about each other as they do about the circles of Hell.
