You Think You Were the Only Superhero in the World?-A No Way Home Mid-Credit Scene

Summary:

After two Peter Parkers return home, they begin to wonder what threats from the MCU are lurking in the shadows of their own universes. But don't worry, they have plans! Or at least, they're working on it.

A concept for a mid-credit scene following No Way Home, assuming Tobey and Andrew are in the movie.

Notes:

Since this was initially my idea for a scene in the credits of No Way Home, it's a very visual scene and would not work in text format. I wrote it in script format, but it's still not quite as cool as it would be on film. I tried to make it as clear and coherent as possible so you can visualize watching it on the big screen.

Work Text:

Mid-credit scene-(Location A) Peter and Mary Jane’s apartment 

Tobey Peter sits beside Mary Jane , implying he’s just told her the story of the entire film

Tobey: And as we were leaving, the youngest Peter gave us both these lists 

 

He unfolds a white piece of paper. The top two things are visible to the camera: Loki/Chitauri invasion, and The Ten Rings

 

Tobey: The biggest threats their world has faced, that might come to ours

(Location B) Peter’s room

Cut to an evidence board, with a red string connecting a card labeled LOKI to a card labeled Chitauri. Reveal Andrew’s Spider-Man connecting Chitauri to THANOS + 6 Infinity Stones. He has been making a board of potential villains, just as he did while investigating his parents in his own films.

 

Cut back to Location A

MJ: You can’t assume everything in that universe will be the same in ours

 

Tobey: No, I can’t but, (he smiles) three Spider-Men, right?

 

MJ smiles and shakes her head slightly in amusement 

 

MJ: Three of you, Tiger

 

Location B

Andrew places a card labeled HYDRA on the board while standing on the ceiling. He drops down and writes: growing inside? between HYDRA and S.H.I.E.L.D

 

Location A

MJ gestures to the list.

MJ: You’re talking about magic sorcerers, super soldiers, gods from space…

 

Location B 

MJ (voiceover): (Continued) And you’re going to protect the world from all of it?

 

Meanwhile, Andrew places a card saying Vulture, near a card labeled Dreykov-Red Room and one labeled Hela, goddess of death. 

 

Tobey (voiceover): I have to; I’m Spider-Man

 

Andrew clips Yellow-Jacket next to a Mysterio card

 

Location A,

MJ shakes her head. 

MJ : Peter, you can’t fight all this by yourself 

 

Tobey: I know. I think…

 

Location B

Tobey (Voiceover): (Continued) I think, I might need to start assembling this Earth’s mightiest heroes

 

Upon the word “Earth’s” Andrew steps back to reveal a large Avengers A symbol in the center of the board. 

 

*Cue Avengers theme*
