Summary
Jimmy reaches out and takes Robert's nearest wrist between his thin fingers. Robert's skin is burning hot, and he has to feel how frigid Jimmy's own is against him. Robert twitches like he wants to pull away, but he lets Jimmy lay his warm hand over his chest. His fingers splay along the curve of Jimmy's throat where the thrum of a pulse would beat beneath thin, fragile skin. Jimmy is cold and unyielding, like a stone. His dead heart no longer thumps in his chest.
