Work Text:
Once upon time, there was a floating island that floated beside the clouds. The floating island was the residence of the ruler of the universe and the creator of that world.
A crown of constellations.
A starry scepter.
A wave of her scepter, she created humans to occupy the world she created; the world called Teyvat.
The people of Teyvat called their creator and leader; Celestia.
The floating island had green and luscious fields full of different flowers, a clear river that ran till the edge of the floating island. In the center was a castle made out of grave stone, some of the castle's walls were covered with greenery, some apples trees near the castle windows. One of the castle towers resides, one of Celestia's children.
Ebony hair like the night sky.
Green mixed with blue, clear and shined like when the sunlight hit the sea.
Fair and clear skin, the color of the sand.
The young prince sat on the windowsill with the same boring view. He opened the windows wide open as he watched a bluebird that flew towards his hand.
The young prince watched the bluebird sing. He giggled and petted the bird on top of his hand. He began to sing along with the blue bird.
The prince frowned as the bird flew away.
Leave the prince with the same boring view.
The prince watched as the bird flew freely.
He wished to be free like the bluebird as the bird was invited to come outside.
"Barbatos. Stay away from there." Celestia said. "The outside world is dangerous for you."
"But mother." The prince said.
"Little one, we talked about this. It's much safer here." Celestia stated. "See."
Celestia pointed out as the bluebird fell from the sky.
"No!" Barbatos cried out and ran toward the window. He launched himself and grew wings and caught the bird in his hands.
"Barbatos!" Celestia cried
The bright sky became dark.
Celestia appeared behind her child and brought him back to his tower.
"Barbatos! You force my hand." Celestia yelled as she summoned stones that looked like stars which made the tower grow higher. Barbatos watched in horror and embraced the wounded bird. The young prince weeped and begged. But his mother won't listen to him.
Celestia waved her hand and trapped her child, Baratos, within the tower.
Barbatos was caged.
With the boring view.
Wish to be free like the bluebird.
His tears rolled and landed on the bird.
His tears shined like a falling star.
A wish was born as the bird began to glow in a blinding light.
The blinding light took the form of a boy.
A boy with dark medium-length hair with teal undertones, pale skin and golden eyes. Barbatos grabbed his arm as a green tattoo or mark appeared.
"Beautiful." Barbatos gasped.
"You saved me." The boy gasped and knelt down in front of the young prince.
" I am in your debt." He said as he bowed his head.
"Please don't bow your head."The young prince said." Please call me, Venti. "He smiled.
" What do I call you? "Venti said.
Butterflies appeared in the other boy's stomach. His words flew away and his lips seemed to have forgotten how to speak.
His lips dry.
His hands shaked.
Venti grabbed his hand and said.
" How about I name you Alatus. "
Alatus quickly bowed his head, the butterflies still flying around his stomach as he tried avoiding Venti's green blue eyes. Alatus gripped onto Venti's hand, slowly letting go of the young prince's hand.
Venti looked hurt as Alatus let go of hand.
But Alatus summoned his bird claws and destroyed the stones of the tower. He quickly grabbed Venti's hand and gripped it tight.
The two jumped from the tall stone tower.
As they fell into the color world;blue waterfalls, tall green grass, the green vines that colored the dull and gray castle's walls, blue skies, white clouds and red rose, but Alatus wanted to show the light blue butterflies.
Barbatos, now Venti.
Felt free.
Free to see the colors of the world.
Free to feel the grass and water.
Free to taste the apples from the trees.
He screamed at the top of his lungs as he and Alatus fell from the tall tower.
Xiao catches Alatus before he could touch the grass. Alatus pulled Venti and both ran to the apple trees. Both laughed and ate in glee. Venti giggled as a butterfly landed on Alatus' nose. Venti smiled as he kissed Xiao.
As butterflies appeared in his stomach and blushed red as the apple he ate from the tree.
Celestia smiled as his son earned the title the god of freedom like the winds, his courage had harsh winds as his kindness was gentle breeze. She honored his little warrior, Celestia, summoned the moon and carved the stone and gifted him a staff to banish all evils.
Celestia smiled as the time became weeks to months to years to eras to eons. She smiled as her children grew and she made crystal butterflies after her children, especially her favourite; Barbatos and his lover and warrior;Alatus. She watched as the butterflies flew away her hand
