Chapter Text
I was working my afternoon shift in Starbooks when this whole thing started. The most beautiful piece of ass I’ve ever seen walked in and looked around for a minute before actually ordering a coffee. But don’t get me wrong, this girl had the prettiest face and everything about her looked perfect. The girl came to the counter and ordered a pink drink, a classic, and when I asked her name, she said it’s not necessary for me to write her name down. So I didn’t.
“Are you free tonight?” she suddenly asked me just before I turned around to make her drink. “I get off at 4,” I say straight forwardly. No point in beating around the bush and playing dumb. I’m a bisexual girl who hasn’t had a relationship since years ago. If an opportunity like this presented itself, I was not going to let it go to waste. The mysterious girl almost looked shocked that I was so eager but I could vaguely see she didn’t think I was creepy. Thank god. I turn around and quickly concoct her drink and hand it to her. “500 yen.” I say vaguely. She hands me 500 yen and I sock it away in the cashier. “I’ll be back soon.” she said as a way of greeting and left the Starbooks. I felt so giddy as I watched her leave. Because I was such an over thinker I then started worrying that I might have been too straightforward. Would she really be back?
My mind was butchering me until three o’clock came around. I walk to the back to change out of my uniform and into my casual clothes of the day. A simple outfit really. When I walked back front, I saw her again. Sitting at a corner table. I walk over to her and she notices me and gets up from the table. I watch the way her body sways confidently in her skinny jeans and loose top, almost hiding away the best features of some women.
That’s why I loved Uravity. She owned her body and wasn’t afraid to show it off. I on the other hand had some insecurities beneath my skin, so I tend to hide under baggy clothes often.
She walks over to me completely, starting up a conversation again. “You know, I never got your name.” she says as a way of greeting. Out of the two times I’ve talked to her not once has she ever really said hello or goodbye. Just an implication of those words. “Neither did I. We’re strangers.” I say smiling cheekily. She chuckles lightly and extends her hand. “Uraraka Ochako” she says. I take her hand in mine and give her a light peck on it. “l/n y/n.” I say in return. She blushes lightly, “Now we’re no longer strangers.” she says. “Indeed.”
We walked out of Starbooks and kept light conversations going. She mentioned this guy she lived with and how they were colleagues. I had asked her what their jobs were but she said it’s an answer for another time. So I kept my question in the back of my head for a later time.
After a while of walking around without a certain destination, she asked to walk me home. So I led the way to my apartment building and we kept up the small talk. “It was so nice to chat with you. We should do it again sometime.” she said when we came to a stand in the parking lot. “We should,” I say agreeing with her. Bashfully and with a lot of confidence I dont have, I kiss her cheek, say goodbye, and walk into my apartment complex.
When I was completely inside, I realized that I hadn’t asked for her number. I would just have to go about my daily routines and hope to bump into her again. But that kind of hope wasn’t needed. The next day, in my afternoon shift, she came again. She ordered her drink and I personally gave the drink to her again. “Four o’clock?” she asks. I nod my head with a smile and she left to do whatever she does.
When four o’clock came around I found her waiting again. We walked to my apartment, talking all the while. This became a small routine for a whole week. We were walking together after my shift when this time we walked to her apartment. Alongside idle chatting I managed to get her phone number. She gladly gave it to me. I know quite a bit about her now, but I still don’t know what her job is.
She knows I work part time along with my studies. She somewhat knows where I live, so do I now. She invited me inside and since I had nothing better to do, I accepted. We walked inside and I have to say I’m impressed. Her place is a similar build to mine but it’s a lot grander. There are a lot of rooms and the sitting room is rather large. The kitchen is big enough to have an island standing in the middle. She must have a really good paying job. She mentioned she had a roommate who might be home and the indication I got was the delicious smell coming from the kitchen. No one was in the kitchen but there was the waft of really good katsudon prep, coming through towards me.
“Who’s cooking? It smells so good.” I say with a satisfied sigh. “Thanks, you can stay for dinner if you’d like.” I hear someone say from a pantry area I hadn’t noticed earlier. And then he came out. The gruff, yet sexy, voice had an incredible man attached to it. I almost sighed at his attractiveness, god, I’m simping for Uraraka and him now. I’ll have to be quiet about it, but I’m guessing he must be Uraraka’s roommate. “That’s Katsuki,” she says in confirmation.
Katsuki Bakugou. Uraraka has mentioned him once or twice in the walks we had together. He comes over to me and extends his hand, “Pleasure to finally meet ya. Ura hasn’t stopped talking about you since she met you. “ He says. I shake his hand and Uraraka slaps his shoulder. “Dude!” she exclaims. I giggle slightly and focus on Bakugo. “It’s nice to meet you too,” I say.
And in all honesty, if I had a roommate who actually cared, she would also not hear the end of it. “So, would you like to stay for dinner?” Uraraka asks. “Sure. I didn’t have any plans in any case. Do you need help in the kitchen? I’m pretty decent,” I say, turning my attention to Bakugo in the last part of my sentence. He shrugs and beckons me into the kitchen. Uraraka plops herself onto the kitchen island and Bakugo hands me a few vegetables to chop.
We were chatting and laughing while cooking the food. If there was silence, it was comfortable. I had to contain myself to not grab a spoon and take a bite right there. The katsudon smelled greater and greater after each minute that passed. After almost an hour, the meals were done. Uraraka beckoned me towards a dinner table and I helped her set it. She told me to sit down with her and then Bakugo came with two bowls in hand. He put one down in front of me and one in front of Uraraka. He left and came back with his own bowl.
“Thank you for the meal.” I say, lightly clapping my hands together after Bakugo sat down. The two of them also thanked for the meal and I grab the chopsticks from next to my bowl and grab a little bundle of rice. I take the bite and have to contain my satisfied moan. “This is really good.” I say to Bakugo. “You helped.” he said, pouring a considerate amount of extra spice onto his bowl.
“I’m only decent. You must have a very high spice tolerance.” I say after I finished my chewing. “He does. He probably ate chillies as a baby.” Uraraka says. I laugh at that and Bakugo retaliates. “Don’t act all high and mighty. You can’t handle spice to save your life. One whiff and you’re crying.” “Hey!” Uraraka cries out. “Not fair,” a small blush creeped on her face. “Don’t worry. I’m not very good with spice either. “
We had dinner peacefully, Uraraka and Bakugo bickering a little here and there. I found out that Bakugo isn’t a chef. He cooks for fun and makes the meals for the two of them. I asked him what his job was and he too said he would maybe tell me later. “Are you mob bosses then? Because both of your occupations are a mystery to me.” I say on my way to the kitchen. I place my bowl in the sink, not washing it because Bakugo said it’s Uraraka’s chore. I hear them laugh and they reassure me they aren’t.
I side eye them and then decide I’ll believe them. When I left, Bakugo said that we should do this again, so I suggested once a week I could come over. They agreed happily and I was on my giddy way to my apartment. But maybe I shouldn’t have walked alone. Because before I even got close to my apartment my vision went black and a dull throbbing has ebbed itself in the back of my head. As luck would have it in this hero-villain society, a quirkless girl like me gets kidnapped. Adult-napped?
