Life stunk.
Mary Anne thought life really sucked when her father broke up with Dawn’s mother and reneged on letting her redo her room. She found herself so frustrated with her father, she didn’t speak to him for days—not until Claudia and Stacey stepped in and—honestly, she didn’t know what they did to convince her dad to actually let her update her room as he promised, but she found herself excited.
That was until she saw her room.
Sure, the room was super cool, with that vibe which jibed with her mixed heritage, something she felt grateful to Claudia for, and yet she couldn’t help but feel as if something was missing, not to mention the fact she still felt down regarding the breakup as Dawn’s mother and her dad felt so right.
And now, she was definitely flubbing it in front of Logan, saying the wrong words in front of him, making a fool of herself. She could hear Kristy from behind the art display making a sound which indicated she felt things weren’t going in the right direction as well, but she told Dawn and Kristy something didn’t feel right.
“It doesn’t feel like home,” Dawn said regarding Mary Anne’s room. For while her interaction with Logan was awkward beyond belief, it was honestly awkward between the both of them, not to mention she wasn’t quite feeling it because something – the fact her room didn’t feel like home, hit her hard.
Not that she would necessarily have done better with Logan as they were speaking, but instead she might have – well, felt more comfortable in her own skin and not as if everything was going so very wrong.
Thankfully though, she had two very great friends who were more than willing to help fix her room.
