After all, the girls knew Kristy’s mom referred to Richard Spier as a stuffed shirt, or something along the lines of him always being straightlaced in his fashion. That was said in response to the idea of Sharon and Richard dating, which meant the solution to both Dawn and Mary Anne’s problem was—
Well, it was to fix Mary Anne’s dad who was stuck in a rut and not wanting to change, so Stacey attempted giving him fashion advice.
It didn’t turn out as well as the room, as Richard was still super resistant to change.
