Work Text:
Bokuto has always been a cheerful and lively person, everyone considers him a sunny person, he is strict with himself and always wants the best; if there is one thing that Bokuto has never been, it is being a needy person, he has always given without expecting to receive anything in return.
When he met Akaashi for the first time his world changed completely, he is a completely different person from him, he is calm and silent, elegant in his every move.
Akaashi is intimidated by Bokuto's presence, he is so radiant and cheerful it almost hurts him, he feels in awe, but it didn't take him long to realize that the older boy was one of the easiest people to relate to.
...
It was during a practice that Bokuto realized he could be needy.
"You did good Bokuto-san." Akaashi told him gently touching his arm for a split second, too little time but for Bokuto it seemed like whole minutes.
The warmth he felt at that touch destabilized him and the small smile on Akaashi's lips didn't help. He was used to physical contact, he is a very touchy person, but that sensation he had never experienced with anyone, he wanted to feel it again, he wanted to feel that rush of heat all over his body over and over again, it was the first time he felt this way in need.
"Bokuto-san?"
"Huh? Oh! Thanks Akaashi! You were good too! "
Akaashi smiled shyly "Thanks" he told him playing with his fingers.
Bokuto felt as if his heart was about to explode, that boy sooner or later would have killed him unintentionally and perhaps Koutaro would not have minded dying lost in that smile.
"Let's go home together?"
"Okay"
On the way back they passed a kombini, it was exactly halfway between their two houses, Akaashi stopped to observe the shop.
"Akaashi?" Bokuto walked over to him. "Do you want to get something?"
"Oh emh..I'm a little hungry." Said the slightly embarrassed raven, Bokuto smiled at him and grabbed his wrist. He still felt that pleasant warmth.
"Let's go!"
They went into the Kombini and got some food, Bokuto got some milk bread and Akaashi got a package with two simple onigiri. Once out of the shop they stood near a street lamp, both leaning against the wall behind them while enjoying the food they had just bought.
The sun was setting as it gently brushed the boys with its last light of the day; Koutaro glanced at Keiji in passing, the orange and pink light of the sunset delicately contoured Akaashi's face making his features softer, he lost himself in observing him, he had never noticed how special Keiji's eyes were, a splendid blue still stood out more in the colors of the sunset, it seemed to Koutaro that a small part of the night sky had taken its place in the raven's eyes; he looked up slightly noticing how Keiji's hair seemed soft and silky, those wavy locks made him want to put his hand inside and caress them delicately; the two-tone gaze moved to the boy's lips, he noticed how they were more plump than his and how they had a natural pink color, they looked so soft as they grabbed a bite of onigiri; he felt the need to touch them.
"B-Bokuto-san?"
Keiji's voice woke him up from his thoughts, he hadn't realized he had reached out to the boy's face and touched the side of his mouth; the raven's face was red, Koutaro could tell despite the blush hiding with the sunset lights; he pulled his hand away, feeling the loss of that much-needed warmth.
"S-sorry- You had lsome rice on your face.."
"Oh..Okay, don't worry."
They didn't look each other in the eye, too embarrassed to do so. They parted shortly after, that night Bokuto tried to burn the sensation of Akaashi's warmth on his skin.
...
With the passage of time the bond between the two became stronger and deeper, it was not strange to see Bokuto running to Akaashi at every lunch break to drag him away and eat together, sometimes it was Keiji who went to him, but it only happened when Koutaro fell asleep in class and didn't hear the bell.
Although they had bonded a lot, Bokuto still tried not to be too intrusive with the raven, he knew that Akaashi was not a person who particularly loved physical contact, he limited himself to a few pat on the back, claps of hands and very rarely had some emotional hugs happened for a game won, and god, those were Bokuto's favorite moments, the warmth he felt to the bone made him feel as good as he had ever been in his life.
“KAAASHI! Just one piece!"
"No Bokuto-san, you've already eaten your bento."
"You're bad!" Bokuto crossed his arms over his chest pouting, turned his head away from Akaashi. Keiji sighed.
"Bokuto-san" The raven gently touched Bokuto's shoulder to turn him around, which the two-tone did. "Take a bite."
Bokuto smiled and Akaashi did not have time to approach the onigiri to the older boy that Koutaro had already approached to take a bite of the food, almost completely eliminating the distance between him and Akaashi; when they realized it, the face of both took a delicate shade of pink, they did not move away immediately, they looked at each other for a few seconds, the blue and gold that mixed together reminds of the starry sky; there was something in that gaze, a need for closeness and contact that neither of them yet understood.
"Sorry-" Bokuto said after pulling their faces away.
"Mmh." It was Akaashi's only response.
They remained silent enjoying the light breeze that caressed both of them until the bell woke them up to bring them back to class.
...
"It looks like my parents won't be coming home for tonight." Before putting the phone away, Akaashi replied to his mother's message.
“Oh, do you want me to stay here? At least you won't be alone” Bokuto asked, slightly hesitant, he wasn't sure if staying the night with Akaashi would do him any good.
By now they had known each other for almost two years and as time passed Bokuto felt the need to feel Akaashi's warmth.
"Yeah.." Keiji looked at him. "Then it rains, if a thunderstorms were to start I wouldn't feel comfortable alone.." he said with a slight embarrassment, he hardly talked about the things that frightened or troubled him.
"Are you afraid of thunderstorms?"
"It's not really scary, I don't like loud noises, I usually get distracted easily but when I'm alone it's more difficult to do so."
"Don't worry! I'm here!" Bokuto beamed, making Akaashi smile too.
The day went on quietly, with Bokuto's movies, jokes and embarrassing stories about Kuroo; Akaashi listened to him amused, he was distracted by the storm and the presence of Bokuto created a pleasant warmth in his chest.
"So I'm going to bed, are you sure you're comfortable?"
"Of course!" The two-tone said as he settled on the couch sinking into the pillow "Never been better!"
"Okay" Akaashi smiled slightly "Good night Bokuto-san"
"Good night Kaashi!"
Keiji turned to go to his room but stopped after a few steps.
"Bokuto-san"
"Yes?"
Keiji had started playing nervously with his fingers “Do you want to sleep with me? You know the thunderstorms..” He swallowed “Forget it you'd probably be uncomfortable and- "
"Okay" Bokuto's response blocked Akaashi's flow of words, he saw the two-tone stand up from the sofa and approach him.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes" Bokuto smiled "If it helps you not to think about the storm, that's fine"
"Thanks" he smiled a little.
...
It was strange to share the same bed, the lights were off and their sight had become accustomed to the dark, the only light that entered the room was that of the moon, albeit weaker due to the storm, and that of the street lamp near the window .
The bed was not big, certainly enough for both of them to be comfortable but it didn't prevent their arms from touching creating a pleasant warmth.
Akaashi turned on his side giving his back to Bokuto, the two-tone could see the slow and regular movements of Akaashi's shoulders as he breathed, he felt this need to touch him, to feel that warmth again and again.
Akaashi shivered slightly as a thunder broke the silence, Bokuto noticed it and turned on his side, facing Keiji's back.
"Kaashi, are you okay?"
"Yes..I think." Bokuto watched the raven's back for a few seconds before speaking.
"Come here." He said before carefully reaching out an arm and placing it on Akaashi's waist pulling him against him making the raven's back collide with his chest. Keiji jumped slightly at the sudden contact.
"Bokuto-san..?"
"Ah- I'm sorry, I'm used to doing this with my sisters when they're scared, I shouldn't have-" He was about to lift his arm and move away when Akaashi grabbed his arm to stop him.
"No, it's fine..It's nice, thanks." He almost whispered.
They remained like this for a few minutes, enjoying that pleasant warmth that warmed them on a stormy night; Koutaro became bolder and put his face between Akaashi's shoulder and neck, took a deep breath enjoying the sweet scent of Keiji, cherry, he had noticed a bubble bath to that taste in the bathroom, he thought it suited the raven well, that scent really was good and Bokuto thought he could never get enough.
"Mmh" Akaashi's small and faint moan brought Bokuto out of his thoughts, he felt the raven turn in his arms, now their faces were facing each other, Koutaro's arm always on Keiji's waist, blue eyes fixed in the golden ones.
"Bokuto-san" A slight blush was barely visible on Keiji's cheeks.
"Yes?" Koutaro's cheeks were also red.
Akaashi said nothing, placed a hand on Bokuto's face, stroking gently; this time the bolder was Keiji, he brought their faces closer to leave a soft, short and warm kiss on Koutaro's lips.
"S-sorry I-"
Keiji couldn’t finish the sentence, Bokuto's lips were on him again, this time, however, the lips of both moved together looking for each other, looking for that warmth that Bokuto so desired, and that he felt throughout his body; the taste of Akaashi was the best that Koutaro had ever tasted, he would never tire him, it would become his drug, his addiction, and the same was for Keiji. When they separated they both panted slightly for lack of air but neither of them cared, they looked at each other intently, they didn't need words.
"Keiji" Akaashi's heart skipped a beat upon hearing his name.
"Yes?"
"Can I kiss you again?"
"Please do it"
And the lips of the two collide again and again without ever getting tired, it didn't matter if the lips had become swollen from the kisses, there was nothing more important than the heat they both felt at that moment, the thunderstorms was a distant memory .
Bokuto felt for the first time the feeling of being loved and loving, it was the best feeling he had ever experienced, Keiji was the most beautiful feeling.
