Chapter Text
Hollow just woke up from a nightmare. They also needed water.
Thirsty and shaking, they checked the time. 2:30, too early to fully wake up. All they just had to do was get a drink, take another milligram of melatonin, and at least try to get back to sleep.
The main apartment wasn’t terrible. A bathroom, kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, it was perfect for just the two of them, and it wasn’t that expensive either. Plus it gave a pretty good view of the main skyline, without being up close and personal to it.
Hollow was just about halfway done filling their glass when suddenly, a voice.
“Sup?” Said hornet, breaking the silence, if silence means a constantly running, but quite comforting air conditioning.
Hollow jumped, slightly splashing their water. “Hornet!” Hollow sighed. “Why are you awake?”
“Too much coffee. Plus the room was too hot. You?”
“Nightmare. Plus I’m thirsty.”
“Yikes. Sorry about that. Want me to lay down with you and see if you can get back to sleep?”
Hollow hesitated before answering, “Yeah, I’d like that.”
“Which bed, yours or mine?”
“Yours.”
The two went back to hornet’s room, and while Hollow was on the verge of rest, they hoped that tomorrow wouldn’t be a drudge to get through.
