“Oh god Frances they’re gonna hate me what if they don’t want me here..” Tony said as they sat in his car
“Then we’ll know for sure but ya don’t know if you don’t try..Tony I feel like they’re gonna be overjoyed to see you I mean it’s obvious you’re looking a lot better then you did when ya last saw them they’ll have missed you so much” Frances assured him holding his hand
“I don’t know about this Frances I’m having second thoughts I’m scared..” Tony said
“It’ll be okay I’ll be with you Cmon” Frances said encouraging him kissing him. They got out of the car and made their way up to the front door of his daughters place. Tony with one shaky hand extended knocked on the door the other hand holding Frances hand. Frances gave his hand a squeeze of reassurance as he took a deep breath hearing someone coming to answer. The door opened to see his youngest daughter Rachel.
“Hi..look Rae I-“ Tony began to try to start an apology
“Daddy!” Rachel cried now recognizing him and his voice taking a running leap up into his arms wrapping hers around his neck as Tony smiled and managed catch her while grunting in pain as he felt his knee and back spasm a little but didn’t care one bit as he just held her back crying in joy. “Oh sorry I forgot about your injuries..” she added
“It’s okay honey..I’m just glad to see you..” Tony said hugging her even closer as Rachel wrapped her legs around his waist the way she used to when he carried her around when she was a little girl.
“Me too I missed you so much!” Rachel cried
“I missed you too sweetheart I am so sorry..” Tony cried his hand on the back of her head
“It’s okay you’re here and you’re better that’s all that matters!” Rachel said as they continued to cry and hug as Tony put her back down on the ground.
“D-Dad?” The voice of his other daughter Cecily or Cee Cee gasped when she came to see who was at the door.
“Cee Cee!” Tony said as she then now raced over to collapse in his arms and sobbed overwhelmed
“Hey baby!” He said again to Cee Cee as he kissed each of his daughters heads and held them both close never wanting to let them go like that again.
“I’m sorry I’m so sorry..” Tony cried again
“It’s okay dad I promise we’re just glad you’re alright” Cee Cee said kissing his cheek.
“I’m just surprised you still wanted to see me or missed me I thought you girls didn’t wanna talk to me anymore…” Tony said
“Dad of course we missed you all we wanted back was the dad that the drugs and alcohol took from us and now I can see he is back..you look so good” Rachel said
“Thanks sweetie so do you two! Your hairs gotten long” Tony complemented as he stroked Rachel’s hair
“Could say the same to you you got quite a beard on ya” Cee Cee said touching it as Tony chuckled.
Frances just stood and smiled tearing up at the beautiful reunion she was witnessing. Tony glanced over remembering she was with him and immediately stopped to introduce her.
“Oh hey Rae,Cee Cee I want you both to meet my girlfriend Frances..she’s who helped me gain the courage to reach out to you both again” Tony said pulling Frances up to stand beside him and waved
“Awwww my god thank you for making him do this!” Rachel said hugging her next
“It’s my pleasure Rachel is it?” Frances asked about the full pronunciation of her name.
“Yeah! That’s right!” Rachel said nodding and smiling
“Wait a minute…are you…Frances Welty?!” Cee Cee said now figuring out why Frances looked so familiar to her and now that Tony said her name she finally got what it was.
“Yes yes I am!” Frances said as she took her hand
“Wait what?!” Rachel said shocked
“Oh my god my dad is dating Frances Welty?! you’re one of my favourite authors I am literally am obsessed with Nathaniels Kiss! It’s so nice to meet you!” Cee Cee said as they hugged next.
“Aww thank you so much Cee Cee that means a lot to me!” Frances said super flattered
“So you’re the Frances Welty Cee Cee always talked about?! Wow you’re so pretty” Rachel said
“I agree” Tony said winking as
Frances blushed smiling and laughing “Aw thanks I was gonna say the same to you ladies! Your dads got himself some very amazing beautiful girls! I’m so so thrilled to finally meet you both he always talked about you two”
“Really?” Cee Cee’s eyes lit up hearing this
“Yeah I did I was hoping you all could hopefully meet!” Tony said
“And I’m so glad you did!” Rachel said hugging her dad for the third time and Cee Cee hugged Frances again
“So how did my old man manage to pick up a hot shot like Frances Welty?” Cee Cee asked her arm around Frances still mesmerized by her presence.
“Oh well it’s actually quite a story” Tony said smiling at Frances taking her hand
“Why don’t you tell us inside? Come on in! I’ll make some coffee” Cee Cee said leading them inside.
Tony followed feeling so at ease like a huge weight was taken off his shoulders after years or carrying it. He was so glad Frances pushed him to Confront his daughters now they were all gonna be a happy family and was Also glad his daughters loved Frances
