Chapter Text
The maid of the knights of Favonius worked dutifully from day to night, never once complaining or losing motivation. Helping everyone who asked for anything from her, keeping the knights headquarters clean and squeaky all the while personally attending to the knights requests, like ironing their shirts, doing their laundries, polishing their weapons, etc ..
Similarly the assistant alchemist too indulged herself fully in her studies, often foregoing common needs like water, food and breaks. So caught up in the fascinating results of her alchemy tests she stays bundled up in her lab, tirelessly experimenting every possibility while documenting it neatly.
Both their habits and devotion to work were admirable yet it left one to wonder if it is healthy to devote themselves so fully to their duties and put aside their nessecites or rest, if they even rest at all.
Do they even get to relax and unwind? Have their minds ever left the confines of their very duties to go rest for the day?
To answer it simply:
The girls had curled into one another atop the bed not bothering to pull a blanket over themselves, exhausted from a long day of work. Comfortably cuddling together as they listened to one another's heartbeats. Content in the moment to simply let their aching limbs rest on the soft bed.
They didn't nessecerily plan to cuddle.
Being gentle and caring souls themselves, they prompted one another to rest and amidst their lighthearted and good natured bickering realized how hypocritical they were. They both were tired due to work, encouraging the other to rest after a long day, so they came to a truce.
To embrace one another as they rest together.
A comfortable air had settled in around them, Noelle was softly playing with Sucrose's hair while Sucrose herself buried her face within the crook of her neck, breathing in Noelle's faint scent of roses and valberries. It was their favorite way to unwind, not many words were spoken and they liked it that way. Too tired to even form proper sentences, they much preferred actions over words anyways.
On days where Sucrose would come back home looking dreary and tired, Noelle would bake her some sugar cookies, along with a nice tea brew to soothe her nerves. Wrap her up in a soft blanket and cuddle her till she was knocked out cold.
And on days where Noelle would come home exhausted, Sucrose would run her a warm bath and read to her later on from the comfort of their soft bed and warm blankets as they got ready to drift off to sleep.
Mornings for them were especially cozy. The kitchen was their safe haven of sorts, Sucrose would hug Noelle from behind, resting her chin atop her shoulder as she made her signature tea time pancakes and drizzle jam on top of it. The occasional whistles from the tea kettle and coffee pot, their jittering from boiling on the stove serving as pleasant background noise for the groggy gals
Sucrose hums in delight as she scarfs down the pancakes and chugs her dark coffee like it was the nectar of immortality itself
All the while Noelle watches her fondly, taking her time with her pancakes and sipping a berry flavored tea.
While they were busy people they did get rest and it was mostly together, as a form of affection and endearment. They could not make enough time for one another due to their workloads but they didn't mind, the precious hours they spent together in comfortable silence was more than enough for them.
Those sleepy kisses and hugs would forever engrave themselves into their minds, later looking onto those memories with a fond smile.
