“What are you gonna do?" the drunk growled. "Sing me a little song?”
“I’ll scream!”
“But who will hear you?” he hissed as his other hand went over her mouth.
“Ah, I wouldn’t do that if I were you.”
Barbara could have melted in her relief. Standing at the mouth of the alley was a silhouette, lit from behind by the streetlight. A cape fluttered behind just so. In her daze, she wondered if the figure was flapping it himself.
“Hey, we’re just having a little fun,” the drunk said, his hand now clutching her thigh. His nails were sharp against her skin, and she whimpered. “Mind your business.”
“Unfortunately,” the figure said, stepping forward, “the deaconess is my business.”

“Do you usually share the bed?” Noelle asked out of curiosity—or at least, that was what she told herself.
“Would you be jealous if I said ‘yes’?” Aether asked. Noelle snorted.
“Yes,” she said.
“Yes!” Aether repeated, just as surprised as Noelle. But the silly grin that spread wide over his face told her how pleased he was. “Well, we’ll just have to fix that.”

Summary
Noelle has been training for her entrance exam to the Knights of Favonius for years, and is nearing her wits end. Lumine is still hunting for her brother. But as the two vision-bearers get closer to their goals, the tension between their feelings for each other and their ambitions begins to take its toll on Noelle, who must choose what is more important: her emotional attachment to a distracted traveler, or the promises she made to herself at the beginning of her training.
Very loosely based on the Noelle Character Quests in game.

Summary

Lumine pretends to be a princess, Barbara pretends to be a servant. They go by each other's names, switch roles, and inadvertently trick the prince of Snezhnaya into falling in love with the wrong woman. If Lumine's true identity is discovered she will face the consequences of her deceit, and Barbara will be forced into an unhappy marriage.
It gets rather complicated.
