The glass doors. The white lights whining, receding, whining beneath his head, again receding. People people people bashing into him or he’s bashing into them. Someone on a bed. Tony? Not Tony.
“Third floor,” a voice calls from behind him. “Fourth on the left.”
He takes the stairs, not the lift, feet hovering, never once feeling them connect to something so mundane as floor. Breath hurling itself from his throat. Get to Tony. Run. Sprint.
There’s the door, fourth on the left. The door. Tony. Footsteps behind him--cops.
Door bangs against the wall. Peter’s in the room.
Tony’s in the room.
Larry's in the room.---
