Don't cry over spilled milk

Summary:

Kageyama and milk had been friends their entire lives. Nothing could change that- right?

Notes:

My friends told me not to write this- but here it is.

Work Text:

Kageyama had grown up with milk. Through thick and thin they had been there for eachother, in kageyama's darkest hours milk was there for him. When no one wanted to play volleyball with him, milk was there. When Kageyama couldn't figure out 2+3 milk was there. It wasn't long before he realized he couldn't live without milk and that he love it. Milk felt the same way for it's king.
But then Kageyama started high school. And though they were still together often, it wasn't the same. Kageyama stopped spending as much time at home, and ended up buying milk from vending machines. Some days he only has one glass. Kageyama was disgusted with himself, but he couldn't change this. But in his fridge at home, milk began to change as well.
One afternoon, Kageyama brought his classmate Hinata home. The two of them drank apple juice together, leaving milk alone in the fridge. Milk felt its heart sour. It couldn't believe this betrayal. Apple juice was a commoner's drink, not fit for a king like Kageyama.
As time went on, milk's rage continued to fester. Kageyama kept drinking apple juice. The more angry milk became the more sour it became. By the time Kageyama realized that he hadn't seen his one true love in a while, it was too late. Milk was completely spoiled.
Kageyama picked the carton out of the fridge, the smell wrapping his nose. The scent he once loved, smelt completely different. He held milk tenderly before softly whispering, "I'm sorry." He walked to the sink, his breath catching his throat. And as he tipped the carton, an abundance of memories hit him. He couldn't hold back the tears as he watched the love of his life swirl down the drain. It was on that day he swore never to drink apple juice again.
