Hunts were a big part of her culture, every year she'd return to Shili for the largest hunt. It was tradition, so was the celebratory feast after. With fresh meat and vegetables and fruits. Warm rolls and breads. Drinks of all kinds. Including alcohol. Which she drunk.

The father was another Togruta Jedi, one she wasn't really close too. They'd had some flings in the past and with the adrenaline and alcohol their judgement was impaired. When morning came, they woke together and laughed off their encounter. Then when off to ready themselves for the hunt that evening.

The hunting lasted a month. After they were suppose to leave. Her lover when, she did not. She felt off, so she stayed. And was only going to stay till her illness ran it's course. That never happened. A week passed before the Force enlighten her to the child in her. A bright, hopeful, and innocent presence. Her child.

Only when she was near birth did she dare to contact him, only to find out that he was killed shortly after returning to Coruscant. Her dearest friend, Plo Koon tells her. She wasn't very close to the him, but he was the father of her child. She breaks down right then and there, confessing to the Kel Dor Jedi everything in her fit of sobs. He comforts her, stopping her cries. When she's done, she drinks a glass of cold water and rubs her stomach to calm the kicking fetus and waits for the other's reaction. He never gives one, only asks if her knows what she's having. She tells him it's a girl. With that he smiles and pulls out a long list of baby names, something she hadn't yet thought about, a rattles off suggestions to her. In the hour they sit on call with each other, she finds a name for her baby, Ahsoka. It means hopeful.

Only a few weeks pass before little Ahsoka arrives. She calls her midwife, a frim but kind woman named Minerva and calls Plo. He sits with her on call throughout the whole time, even when she is unable to respond. He tells her about updates at the temple, how his padawan is doing and how close she is to becoming a knight. New foods knight Kit Fisto forced him to try. About Yoda and his disaster of a lineage are doing. The midwife comes when she's dilated at eight (8) centimeters, it takes an hour for her to get to ten (10) . It takes two (2) hours of pushing before her baby daughter is here. Half squatting, half kneeling, holding herself up on a chair her baby slids out of her and she almost falls back in relief. Her midwife helps her onto the bed and places her daughter on her chest, wrapped in a soft flora baby blanket. Plo is the first one to see her. After both she and baby are given the all good, the midwife leaves.

Then it's just her, her daughter, and Plo. He congratulates her and coos to Ahsoka. She gives Ahsoka her father's last name, Tano. Plo hangs up an hour later, telling her to get some sleep. She tries. Only for her daughter to start crying. It takes a few guess to figure out that the girl is hungry. And after some trail and error, she breastfeeds her daughter for the first time. Her daughter hasn't been in this world for even a day and she already knew that she'd do anything for her. She loved her with everything she had to give and more. Her daughter Ahsoka.
