The boot of the car was dark, the carpet reeking of bleach and blood. It would be that very smell that woke up Eddie Diaz. He groaned, the taste of metal coating his mouth as his body surged with pain. His eyes attempted to scan his surroundings, but the pitch black made it impossible to see anything, making his already-aching head throb more. He suspected a concussion, but that was the least of his concerns.

Eventually, Finn falls asleep again. He's tired, and his wounds still ache. He dreams of Rey flying faster than light and of Poe sitting in the chair beside his infirmary bed and knows they're both true things without really knowing at all. They feel true, though–as true as a lightsaber burn, as blood on armor, as one hand in another.
The galaxy is such a different place than it used to be. So much bigger, so much broader, so much better.
Finn sleeps, and knows the truth.

“Thank you very much, Brown Eyes,” she said, sidling up to him and standing on her toes to give him a quick peck on the lips. Even now, it made Tech smile. Always had, and he suspected always would. “Though I have reason to believe the anniversary involves you, too.”
“I merely provide joy and companionship.”

In a way, Tech missed the war. His intellect was more accustomed to it, and domestic life was slow. Almost too slow.
Sometimes it was the issues right in front of him that required thorough investigation. Especially when that issue included Phee Genoa and her puzzling antics.

Summary
“No, I don’t get paid enough for that.” The kid turns on his heel and walks right out of the room, clearly practiced at brushing customers off. What tips that kid gets must have been based on looks alone. Though there are probably plenty of people out there who would tip heavily to listen to that sass, Boba was certainly tempted. He wanted that durasteel bite used against him again. The curtain was still clattering loudly after his exit and Boba found he was left feeling slightly confused. The infliction, the way he had made that remark, it drummed up memories he had thought had shoved deep down into the abyss of his mind. Forgotten on purpose. He began to stew in silence while he waited for his food and drink to arrive. The meeting with the waiter playing over and over in his head like some holonet show.
