my Love one - Wookjin's diary

Summary:

“You are not alone in this, Wookjin”

I pulled away enough to see a tear falling down Mill’s face, which he quickly got rid of.

“I just want to be all together, just one more time” - from the corner of my eyes I saw how the rest joined us, sitting silently next to us. “I want the whole family to be together”

Will I ever be able to move on?

Notes:

A heartbreaking story based on "Wrecked" by Imagine Dragons.

Chapter Text

Days keep passing by, our lives were full of monotony, we haven’t heard a laugh in weeks, and in this household his was always rumbling.

“Wookjin” a sweet voice said while knocking on my door, “Dinner is ready”

I didn’t even turn my head to look at him “I’m not hungry Yoojung”

I heard his footsteps coming closer, and felt his weight on my bed

“I know, but you have to eat something” I just kept silent “At least come sit with us, it’s not like us to not eat dinner together right?”

I know he was just trying to be sweet and understanding, I just haven’t felt like myself for so long now.

But I remembered. I remembered him.

We were all looking at Jisung, who suddenly got up while we were having dinner. While all of our eyes were on him, he raised his chopsticks.

“Okay” -he munched on his food- “We need to have some rules”

I know all of us were frowning, judging by the look of Jisung’s face.

“Don’t stare at me like that and listen” -he gulped down his food-

We all stopped eating. Even if we knew Jisung was going to be our leader, it wasn’t usual to see him talking about a serious topic, with a straight face, even if the situation wasn’t serious at all.

“Our first rule is going to be this” -he stopped talking and looked at each one of us right in the eyes.

Then he pointed at us with the chopsticks he was holding.

“We will never eat dinner alone again, never, ever”

You could literally hear how the rest of us started breathing again. Even if Jisung was always funny and being close to us, we all respected him, but not in a scary way, for us it was like a mom-child relationship.

“Oh my god Jisung, I thought you were going to say something serious now” Rie said while scoffing a laugh.

“I’m being deadly serious. It’s so sad to eat alone, so I don’t want any of us to ever eat alone anymore, you all hear me?” -Jisung had to raise his voice at the end, because all you could hear from us were laughs, laughs that only Jisung could make.

I took a deep breath as I felt my eyes watering. I won’t break our promise.

“Okay, I’m coming” I said while I finally looked him in the eyes, eyes that were sadder than I could remember.
