Summary
There was only the sound of Seongje’s breathing, a vibrant hum from the street below.
Gotak pulled out a band-aid with little dogs printed on it. He plastered it on Seongje’s cut.
“You’re doing it again,” Seongje said, voice softer this time. Tender.
“What?” Gotak raised his eyebrows.
His chest tightened, holding onto the fact that he hadn’t admitted his feelings out loud, not even to his reflection in a mirror.
That maybe there was a way to stop himself from feeling so much for a person he shouldn’t. Still, in the end, he couldn’t go against what he felt.
“Looking at me like you want to hate me,” Seongje smiled, not arrogantly, something akin to pride. “But now things changed, and you don’t know how to hate me anymore.”
Or Gotak lives by four rules. One of them? Don’t interact with Seongje. He still breaks that one over and over again.
