After having a consistent hookup buddy every other day for the past week, it was weird for Atsumu to be home alone in his apartment on New Year’s Eve, sitting on his couch eating a bowl of cereal in his boxers and wondering if he should even stay bother staying up until midnight. What was the fucking point when this year had been such a shitshow? Next year was just as likely to suck.
Just as he did every fucking day, he found himself thinking about Kiyoomi. Kiyoomi, the tall, dark, handsome shadow that Atsumu swore he kept seeing out of the corner of his eye. But whenever he turned his head the image disappeared and he was once again left with the realization that he was alone, completely and desperately alone.
