Work Text:
A loud sigh escaped Bokuto's lips. He was bored, very bored.
He looked up to see Kuroo's face, concentration all over his expression. The taller one had dragged him to the library (Bokuto couldn’t think about an excuse to refuse) to study for his exams. Still, the silvernett had just one left, and he wasn't even planning on ace it. If he was honest, the only thing that kept him passing his tests was the fact that his parents were paying for all his university related stuff. He hit his head against the table after putting a couple of books aside, making an intense sound that caused Kuroo to stare at him. He knew his best friend perfectly, and of course he was aware of how boring and even disgusting studying was for him. He had learned through the years that when Bokuto started to sigh as dramatically as he was, the only thing he could do to prevent his impulse of leaving was asking him to do another task, anything that could distract him enough time to start studying properly again.
With a little sigh, Kuroo spoke.
“I think i forgot to pick a book that I need for my philosophy exam, it’s titled A History of Western Philosophy by Bertrand Russell” he saw how Bokuto looked at him quickly, now interested. “Can you go and get it for me? I need to finish this thing” Kuroo said, pointing to his unfinished math notes.
Bokuto instantly nodded, standing up from his seat and going through the sections of the library looking for the one he was supposed to find the book in. Once he got there, he started searching the volume Kuroo asked for. Soon enough he found it, not noticing the guy beside him until his hand touched the other’s, both of them moving their palms away. He looked into the stranger’s eyes, finding himself lost in the gunmetal blue of them, surprised just as his own. Both of them scanned the guy in front of him. Messy black hair, skin like porcelain, long lashes, thick eyebrows and delicate features, all of that complemented by a tall (though a bit shorter than his), slim but strong figure. The only word Bokuto could think of to describe the man was, without a doubt, pretty.
He felt heat rushing up to his cheeks when the shorter male cleared his throat, looking away from him. Bokuto noticed the stranger was staring at the book, hesitantly.
“You can have it” he said, after a few seconds, causing the other to look at him. “I don’t need it that much.” he added.
A little smile formed in the shorter male while, still hesitantly, put the book in his arms, bowing his head to the silvernett. He decided, then, that he had never seen a prettier smile than the one the guy in front of him was wearing, and started wondering how his face would look with a bigger smile or while he was laughing. Because of all the thinking, he didn’t notice he was standing alone until he heard Kuroo’s voice behind him.
“That guy, he was cute” Bokuto jumped, surprised, his heart racing. “Did you ask for his number or something?” seeing that his friend wasn’t agreeing, we continued: “His name, at least? You were looking at him like you wanted to marry him right now” he said, narrowing one of his eyebrows with a teasing smile.
“His name is...” He spoke, noticing just then that he didn’t know it.
Shit
