Bakugou was irritable,, or at least more irritable than normal, he could feel his heart pound out of his chest everytime dunce face ruffled his hair or flat face clapped him on the back and he hated it, he could feel the fog laying heavy on his mind, making it impossible to focus or sit still.
Eventually 4 hours into a study session on the road to nowhere Bakugou threw in the towel smacking his head on the desk as frustrated tears dripped down his cheeks.
He stuck his thumb in his mouth, biting down hard enough that it hurt before being interrupted by a loud knock on his door that was abruptly reefed open by none other than Kirishima, he yanked his thumb out of his mouth wiping the saliva on his pants and hiding his hand behind his back.
"DO YOU FU,, , do you mind stupid hair?!"
Kirishima raised an eyebrow at him, grabbing Bakugou's arm and pulling his hand up to his face, inspecting the reddened bite mark.
Bakugou turned his head away, trying to stop any more tears from falling as Kirishima gently inspected the wound before dropping his hand and turning around to reach into Bakugou's bottom drawer.
He pulled out a teether and an orange adult pacifier with the words "mute button" scripted on the front.
"You know you're not allowed to chew your fingers bakubro"
Kirishima scolded gently, pressing the paci to his lips. Bakugou bit down on the paci with a deep pout on his face.
Kirishima simply raised both eyebrows and folded his arms over his chest.
"Mama says you're not allowed"
Bakugou's brows furrow as he crosses his own arms over his chest, stomping his foot in defiance.
"Shtoopit"
Bakugou spat from behind his paci. Kirishima who now had a pout to match grabbed Bakugou's hand and pulled him down the corridors, all the way to Mina's room where Shinsou was cuddling a mesmerised Denki who was watching Jirou and Sero competitively play Mario kart while Mina sat on her bed looking over the whole room like the watchful mama bird she was.
Mina smiled as Bakugou and Kirishima entered the room, patting the spots on either side of her, summoning them to sit with her.
Kirishima bounded across the room and tossed himself down on the bed, rolling onto his back and tucking his legs and arms up to his chest as his tongue lolled out the side of his mouth;
Mina scratched gently at his belly, making little cooing sounds before reaching her hand out to Bakugou.
"Come here baby"
Bakugou shook his head 'no' even as he walked over and laid his head in Mina's lap.
"I chwed m fum"
Bakugou admitted sadly, frowning to himself.
"It's okay"
Mina said quietly, pressing a kiss to his forehead before propping him up in her lap.
"Look at what Jirou and Sero are doing buddy"
Mina said, pointing to the screen where Jirou and Sero were currently battling it out on Rainbow Road. Bakugou watched on, awed by the rainbows but sticking out his tongue and blowing a raspberry every time one of them fell off the track, which usually led to someone sticking their tongue out at him in retaliation.
"Boooooo"
Bakugou teased, words slurred around his paci. Denki turned around and crawled from his place on the floor up to the edge of the bed where he just stared at Bakugou for a moment before pointing a finger.
"Meanie"
The whole room went quiet for a moment before Bakugou burst into tears, kicking his legs and gripping his hands tight into his hair.
He spat his paci out and hide his face against Mina's chest.
"I'm sorry sorry sorry,,,m sorry,,"
Bakugou sobbed, smacking his hands against his head. Mina gently grabbed his hands, pulling them down, causing Bakugou to lift his head.
"Mam,,,a"
Bakugou whimpered, brow furrowing. Mina pressed a kiss to his nose before blowing cool air onto his reddening cheeks.
"I didn't mean to be mean."
Bakugou slurred out, shoulders sagging like he was being crushed under the weight of his actions. Denki clambered up onto the bed and stuck Bakugou's paci in his mouth, patting him on the forehead.
"Is otay"
Denki said with a reassuring smile.
Bakugou squint at him before hiding his head in the crook of Mina's neck.
"Am I bad?"
He asked the room, voice breaking.
Kirishima sat up on his haunches and shook his head, Sero and Jirou chimed out a chorus of "of course not bud" and Shinsou shook his head silently.
Once Bakugou had calmed down and his breathing was back to normal Mina put him on the floor with Denki, Kirishima followed along which led to many small rounds of fetch and loads of belly rubs for him. Denki giggled manically, flapping his hands happily as Kirishima rolled over and showed them how he could play dead.
Bakugou watched with a slack jaw expression, amazed at the tricks Kirishima could do, every time he did a trick Bakugou gave him a gentle pat on the head and clapped his hands happily.
Eventually Kirishima became tired and jumped up onto Mina's bed where he curled up in a ball at the end, snoring softly. Denki babbled quiet happy sounds around the bottle of angel milk Shinsou was feeding him and that left Bakugou who was now crawling over to Sero and Jirou who had switched to playing Minecraft.
Sero looked down at him with a soft look on his face. "You wanna come up?"
Bakugou's eyes blew wide as he made instant grabby hands up at Sero.
Sero picked him up and sat Bakugou on his lap, handing him the controller.
Bakugou almost immediately fell into a ravine, thankfully landing in water, unfortunately the water flowed straight into lava leaving Bakugou and Sero in a frantic scramble to grab the controls and get them away from the lava.
Jirou laughed off to the side, not realising a creeper walked up behind her, causing her to die and lose her inventory. She promptly threw the controller onto the ground and stormed away, throwing herself on the bed next to Mina who ran a comforting hand down her back.
Bakugou managed to get them away from the lava, walking them through the ravine and into a deep cave, after some time walking he got bored and gave the controller back to Sero, slipping off his lap and onto the floor where he focused on spinning his paci around in his mouth. He was so cool. Bakugou was rudely interrupted when Sero yelled out excitedly that he'd found diamonds.
Denki peeped open his eyes and Kirishima sat up rubbing a curled up fist across his face and whining. Bakugou grabbed at Sero's leg, tapping him gently.
"I did it'
He said with a pleading look.
"Baku helped me find em"
Denki clapped his hands together, kicking his legs and babbling around his paci.
" 'ood job batudo"
Bakugou smiled proudly, a sparkle shimmering in his eye when Kirishima yipped happily and Mina clapped her hands together quietly, a proud smile on his face.
Bakugou smiled, a deep sense of love and belonging causing his chest to feel tight, so dissimilar to the tightness he felt at the beginning of the week.
He needed this and he needed them and he was finally in a place where he could admit it.
