Summary
Suzume Aidoru was a girl destined to go places in her career. With her musical talent, rich background, looks, and cheerful personality, she was bound to be a well known idol someday.
Ankoku Inari was the polar opposite of Suzume; he was more reserved and gloomy. He came from a more poorer background, plus he wasn't that liked by his family, or anyone really.
Despite their differences, Suzume and Ankoku were childhood friends. They did everything together, shared everything, and were almost never seen apart. Around Suzume, Ankoku seemed to be the happiest person on Earth. Being Suzume's best friend came at a cost, however. Due to Suzume's talent, background, personality and looks, she was very popular. Back in grade school, whenever he was around her, he was bullied by the other kids. They always said that a creepy kid like him wasn't worthy of Suzume's time. Of course, Suzume would jump in and say that Ankoku was worth her time; they were best friends after all.
Alas, not all friendships are ment to last. Suzume moved to a different state due to her mother realizing the talent her daughter had. Suzume left with a teary goodbye and promised she wouldn't forget Ankoku.
And she kept that promise.
