“I’m fine Merlin, stop being such a worry wart. The meeting went fine.” Forcing a smile, he faces Merlin, not showing his face.
Merlin slowly walks up to him.
“Chin up”, tilting the blonde’s face up.
Merlin sees what he really looks like now.
“Oh Arthur”, is all he can say. His glassy eyes, the streaks going down his face, the puffy red eyes.
“Come on, what was it?”, the taller boy asks as Arthur finally looks up at him.
It was at that moment he breaks.
