    InkTober Day 24 - Extinct

    He’s been like this for three days. The first was running around the hospital, begging for someone to tell him what was going on. Why no one could see him and why he was feeling so detached. And then he saw himself in complete disarray. Clothes ruined either from the building falling through or from the EMTs cutting his shirt. He’d followed them, unknowing of what they were saying to the doctors and nurses as they rushed him through the hospital and burst through large double doors. He followed and watched his body in horror as they prepared himself for emergency surgery. 
    A nurse had leaned over him - someone he thinks watched the monitors and reported any change - and whispered right in his ear: "Alright, baby, here’s a secret for you. You control this whole thing. If you live, if you die, it’s all up to you; so whatever fight you have in you, you have to pull it out now."
