Work Text:

Carmen sauntered into the hotel room team red was staying in currently, sighing softly as she pulled her hood off. She had barely managed to avoid those agents while on her walk. She hadn’t thought that they would be here, mainly because this trip was more of a vacation for her team. VILE was currently laying low it seemed and, while Carmen was still on edge and ready to leave whenever, she thought it’d be nice to give Zack and Ivy a bit of a break. Which just made this situation more frustrating for Carmen. She groaned softly as she sat on the couch, pinching the bridge of her nose as she tried thinking of a way to make this trip enjoyable while keeping her team hidden.

She looked around the room, finally realizing that she was alone. She shot up from the couch, slightly panicked as she wandered around the suite. She pulled the door to the other room they had rented open and took a few steps inside. The brunette was slightly confused as to why it was so dark in the second room. The blinds were closed, blocking off the little natural light of the setting sun from entering the room, while the lights were off. Carmen raised an eyebrow a bit as she stepped into the dark room, completely unaware of the deep red eyes watching her as she entered.

“Enterin’ a vampire’s lair isn’t too smart,” a voice teased as Carmen felt herself being pulled close, grey eyes meeting glowing scarlet eyes. The brunette was taken aback for a minute before rolling her eyes playfully.

“Really Ives,” Carmen quipped with a smirk as she heard the other woman chuckle softly, lights flicking on as the mood shifted to a more relaxed atmosphere. The taller woman stared at the shorter woman’s current wardrobe.

The redhead was currently in a suave vampire costume, with fake blood dripping down the side of her mouth. A long black cape with a popped collar draped over her broad shoulders, framing her white button-up and deep red vest rather well. A silver locket hung around her neck, where fake bite marks had been painted on. The redhead had also decided to paint her nails black, just as an extra detail. Black dress pants brought to look together, which Carmen couldn’t help but find rather alluring.

“A bit too on the nose, don’t you think Ivy,” Carmen teased with a hint of worry in her voice. While it was funny that a real vampire had decided to buy a cheesy Halloween costume of what they were she still worried about it drawing people's attention.

“I mean it’s Halloween Carm,” Ivy shrugged with a smile. “I’m basically hidin’ in plain sight.”

“I suppose,” Carmen agreed, still slightly worried. “Where’s Zack anyways? I’m surprised he’s not here getting ready for tonight.”

“Oh he’s already dressed up and out pickin’ up some stuff with Shadowsan,” Ivy answered as she turned to look at herself in the mirror, finally noticing her eyes. She bit her lips gently, glancing away nervously. She was getting better at accepting her vampire heritage, but she still had trouble looking at herself when her eyes were this color.

“Ivy,” Carmen’s voice broke the redhead out of her thoughts. Ivy looked up at the brunette who seemed to have noticed her reaction to her reflection. The taller woman gave the freckled woman a soft smile which Ivy reciprocated, she could always relax around Carmen.

Carmen herself was trying to keep her cool, which was really hard when the cutest vampire in the world was smiling at her. Ivy’s smile was always cute but the brunette couldn’t help but think that her cuteness was amplified by her fangs. Luckily Carmen was able to recover quickly from her strange thoughts and finally asked with a smirk, “do you need to be topped off Ives?”

Ivy stared at Carmen, processing what the brunette had asked. Sure she had drank from the taller woman before, but that was because she had made a poor decision and was at her limit. Since then she hadn’t though, despite the fact no other blood she drank had come close to tasting as amazing as Carmen’s. Which she had decided not to mention to the brunette in question. Ivy had come to the conclusion that it was probably a witch thing. Yeah, it’s gotta be that.

“Ivy,” Camren questioned, ripping the redhead from her mess of thoughts.

“Huh? Oh uh….,” Ivy stuttered as she desperately tried to find her words. “I’m not sure that’s such a good idea.”

“Oh come on Ives,” the taller woman retorted. “We’ve already done once.” Ivy opened her mouth to object only for Carmen to cut her off, “and don’t say it’s cause you’re worried about hurting me. You drank from me when you were extremely thirsty, and you didn’t hurt me then. So I know you won’t hurt me now.” Ivy sighed, she couldn’t deny that one. After a few moments, the redhead groaned.

“Fine, but this is the last time I do this,” the freckled woman begrudgingly agreed.

“Why’s that Ives,” Carmen quipped with a smirk. “Afraid you might like it too much,” she teased while leaning against the shorter woman. The brunette’s smirk fell a little as she noticed Ivy’s cheeks seemed to be a bit redder than they had been before. Carmen felt a strange fluttery sensation in her stomach upon realizing this, and oddly her first thought was she wanted to see more of this side of Ivy. She bit her lip as their eyes met, Ivy pouting slightly as she playfully glared down at the brunette. Carmen felt her cheeks heat up as a smirk grew on the redhead’s face.

“Maybe it’s you who likes it too much, huh Carm,” the redhead purred. Carmen felt her heart skip a beat upon hearing Ivy’s tone. She felt weak to the freckled vampire’s charm and all she wanted was for her to sink her fangs into her.

“Bite me,” Carmen blurted out which caused Ivy to immediately drop her suave tone, staring at the brunette in shock. After a moment Carmen had processed what she had said and felt her cheeks heat up more.

“What,” Ivy asked clearly taken aback, her blush becoming more prominent as well.

“What,” Carmen responded calmly as she desperately tried to come up with a solution to her predicament. “I’m inviting you to do it since you’re so eager.”

Ivy stared at the woman leaning against her for a moment, trying to read her the best she could. Her smirk returned to her face as she pulled the other woman close, causing Carmen’s heart to once again skip a beat. “Oh boss, ya should know ta not invite a vampire in.”

With that Ivy pulled Carmen in and sank her fangs into the brunette’s neck. Carmen gripped Ivy’s cape in shock as she felt the light sting of Ivy’s fangs breaking her skin. The brunette bit her lip softly as she felt the redhead drink, blush covering her cheeks as she leaned in a bit more. Ivy only drank for a few seconds, but time seemed slower to Carmen.

Finally, Ivy pulled away, the fake blood now being replaced with Carmens as it dripped off the side of the redhead’s lips. Ivy’s eyes shifted back to green as she looked away nervously, “sorry, maybe that was too much…”

Carmen shook her head as she healed her wound with magic, “Ive’s, you’re fine. I said it was okay and I stand by that.” Carmen smiled and blushed a bit while looking away, “though you did surprise me. I wasn’t expecting you to be so smooth.”

“Yeah, well I can be quite the casanova when I wanna be,” Ivy quipped with a small chuckle. “But, uh, yeah. Hope I didn’t hurt ya though…”

“I’m fine Ives,” Carmen reassured the shorter woman as she caressed Ivy’s cheek. “Believe it or not I can be pretty tough.”

“Noooooo really,” the redhead playfully gasped before chuckling, Carmen joining in as she leaned on Ivy. Their eyes met briefly, both feeling some sort of spark as they felt their bodies slowly lean in, lips inches away from each others. Finally, after a brief moment, their lips met. Shocks of desire shot through the pair as they relaxed into the kiss. Despite not wanting to, they broke the kiss after a few moments. Their eyes met briefly before they turned away, blush intensifying as they tried to look everywhere but at the other.

“S-so we should catch up with Zack and Shadowsan, yeah,” Ivy stuttered as she tried to collect her thoughts.

“Yeah, that’s probably a good idea,” Carmen agreed calmly despite the inner panic and confusion she was experiencing. The redhead awkwardly moved towards the door, nearly tripping as she felt the taller woman’s hand slip into hers.

“You okay….countess Ivy,” Carmen teased as she took her place at the redhead’s side.

“Y-yeah, never been better,” Ivy muttered while trying her best to keep her cool as the two made their way out the door, hand in hand.
