This world is nothing without its sounds. Its song. Hornet’s world is obsolete without Lace’s.

Summary
HUNTR/X, unlike all the other hunters throughout history, only has two members. Zoey and Mira have struggled to keep the Honmoon in place, all while feeling that something-or someone-was missing. All they were told by Celine is that their third Hunter died in her childhood, leaving them to pick up the scraps.
Meanwhile, a demon struggles with her human half, and goes to Gwi Ma, asking for her humanity to be erased....

AU where Celine unceremoniously pushed Rumi into the demon realm when Rumi's marks started to show, and HUNTR/X struggles without her. Then, Rumi shows up as a new singer rivaling the Hunters, in an attempt to take down the Honmoon in exchange for Gwi Ma to take her humanity.

Summary
If "Kevin F**ked Himself" was one possible post-canon scenario, we'll call this another alternative, which gives a *little* more credence to the cast and creator commentary on the finale (you know what I mean). Not too much credence, mind you, but enough to cause trouble.
Hat tip to a certain short-but-devastating KCFH fic that acted as some inspiration. After which I let my rom-com mentality take over . . .

Summary
In a world without Kevin, would Patty and Allison still find their way into each other's lives? If they'd met sooner, if they'd been faster friends after bumping into each other at the bar in 2005, if they'd been given an opportunity to fall in love without all the obstacles, would they still want to? Would it be even remotely the same?
This is the skeleton of an old draft wherein I was revisiting and trying to come to terms with the ending of the show again—the idea that things happen when they're meant to, that life has a funny way of looping back, and the mind has a funny way of rewriting old memories that we'd rather forget.

She turns to go, but you grab onto her. Your other hand lets go of the railing. You’re floating, listless and adrift, in the few terrifying seconds between hurling yourself towards her and the inevitable painful impact. Somebody’s lip splits when your faces collide, you can’t tell whose, but you kiss her until both your mouths are too smudged with blood for you to tell. When she pulls away from you finally, she doesn’t wipe it off. Her chin is red, your chin is red.
