“You wanna try wearing heels?”
“Do you think you would be able to do that successfully?” Shaun asked without looking away from his book.
Neil put his hand on his chest in feigned offense “you don’t believe in me?”
He grinned when Shaun brought down his book to look at Neil exasperatedly “absolutely I don’t” he said then returned to his book.
Neil narrowed his eyes at Shaun “is that a challenge?”. Shaun shook his head “no it is not do not take it as such”
Neil was so close to getting Shaun to pay more attention to him instead of his book so he continued “I’m pretty sure it was so what do you say we try and see who’ll last longer wearing them unless you’re too scared to do it?” He asked teasingly.
Shaun finally closed his book and gave his full attention to Neil “are sure you want to? We can right now” he said as he placed his book on the coffee table.
Neil nodded as he squealed on the inside finally Shaun’s paying attention to him! He ignored the voice in his head that was telling him that Neil, you sound like a fucking toddler who wants his parents’ attention
But... “where do we get the heels?” Neil asked.
Shaun looked at Neil thinking. After a few second he asked “do you want to buy some?”
“Okay come on” Neil grabbed his keys from the table and put on his jacket. Shaun followed after him grabbing his phone and wallet on the way.
Neil held the door open for Shaun then they walked together to Neil’s car hand in hand.

After buying the shoes they went back to Neil’s apartment.
Neil bought 2 inch wedge heels for himself and Shaun bought 6 inch black laced boots
“Are you absolutely sure you want to get that? Won’t you break your ankles?” Neil asked concerned. Shaun nodded “for the fifth time yes I am sure I want these and no I will not break my ankles” he said as he took out Neil’s credit card from his wallet.
Neil has told Shaun in the past to use his credit card when he wants to buy something that involves Neil. After that Neil found out that Shaun would be an amazing pickpocket since he could take Neil’s wallet without him noticing.
Neil once joked about it to Shaun and Shaun had apologize and told him he wouldn’t ever do it again. Of course Neil assures him that it was fine and he was just kinda impressed by how good at it Shaun was. Neil wasn’t worried Shaun would steal from anyone like come on his Shaun stealing? His resident Shaun? His best friend Shaun? His genius cinnamon roll who’s to good for the world Shaun? Stealing? Impossible.
When they arrived home they sat on Neil’s couch and put on the shoes.
After Neil has put on his shoes he attempted to stand. Key word: Attempted
Neil nearly fell when he tried standing up. He held onto the couch to try and stabilize himself.
After tying his shoe laces Shaun stood up gracefully. He walked around the couch and stood next to Neil.
Shaun was already naturally taller than Neil but with the added height of his heels and how fucking flawlessly he walked he made Neil feel like a dwarf compared to him.
“I thought you said you could do it and yet you’re not even able to stand straight” Shaun commented as he walked around Neil’s apartment like a supermodel on the runway.
Holy fuck he is so hot Neil watched Shaun awestruck.
He tried standing again and this time was able to successfully stand without falling. Okay so maybe he was slightly wobbly but he was still standing so it’s an achievement nonetheless.
How is he so good at this??
Neil sat back down on his couch “You know what I don’t think heels are for me”
Shaun stopped walking at looked at Neil
“you win” Neil said as he took of the torture devi- heels.
Shaun sat next to him and took of his shoes. He smiled and glanced at Neil “weak” he whispered as he put the shoes back in the box.
Shaun laughed as Neil looked at him offended.
