Chapter Text
.... It was a chilly Monday morning, and Dee was woken up quite abruptly by his phone's alarm. He found it a bit more difficult to wake up that morning than usual... but he assumed that was simply due to the fact he'd stayed up past midnight reading in the near dark, and he thought he'd kind of sat weird on his side, because he'd woken with a dull ache in his right side, and a bit of a headache. Come to think of it, the ache in his side came in the night before, and sort of kept him from sleeping that night. So he stayed up and read, to take his mind off the annoyance.
Despite not feeling entirely great, Dee pulled himself out of bed to get ready for the day. Once he was dressed and had his bag, he came downstairs to the kitchen to have breakfast with his family before he would walk to school with his younger brother Heavy.
"Dee, are you alright? You look kinda pale." Heavy says, when he sits down at the table. Dee is a bit confused, but he hadn't looked in the mirror that morning, so he hadn't noticed any paleness.
"Yes, I'm fine, I just have a little head ache." Dee replied, shaking his head.
Dee ended up only eating half of his breakfast, because he didn't have much of an appetite that morning. He took some painkillers, and the two brothers headed off to their school.
