Summary
He was a thorn in Betty’s side and she wanted nothing to do with him.
They worked the school newspaper together - the Blue and Gold - and they had been at odds since the day they met. Where she was meticulous, he was lazy. Where she was tidy, he was messy. Where he put too many commas in an article, she was there to cross them out with her red pen that he hated so much. They despised each other.
And they were both competing to be Editor-in-Chief for their senior year now that Nancy Woods was graduating.
They hated each other’s guts, always issuing low blows at each other whenever Nancy wasn’t in the room (they’d hatched a ceasefire when she was in the room for her sake after she had threatened to kick them both off the paper).
Betty despised him and his perfectly unruly hair under that stupid beanie and his insanely blue eyes and his aggravating leather jacket--

Betty and Jughead despise each other. Or, at least, that's what the rest of the student body thinks.
