Work Text:
What a wicked game you play, to make me feel this way…
He was not supposed to feel like this. Never. Or maybe not. But why now?
Befriending Dimitri was a part of Claude’s plan to make his dream come true and the prince was so honest that it was almost too easy. However, things weren’t evolving like they should and now, he felt his heart beat faster every time he saw those shining blue eyes or that sweet little smile on those nice pink lips.
What did he do to him? Did he poison his tea? Put a spell on him? Maybe did he hypnotized him while they were talking about Teach the other day?
When he was attending his classes, his thoughts were often invaded by that beautiful man, imagining him riding on a white horse under the night sky or fighting shirtless against Almyran warriors. Whenever he sat down to read, his nose always perceives that musky woody scent that accompanied him. And his ears could still hear that time, that one time when the prince laughed heartily, as if it was the most beautiful music he’d ever heard.
One day, Claude finally understood what was happening to him and he cursed himself for being so blind. But now, it was too late and that battle was already lost for him and his foolish heart. He had never thought of falling in love one day… and certainly not with Dimitri.
What a wicked thing to do, to make me dream of you…
