   Summary

   A SPARTAN-II is assigned a dangerous mission by ONI to retrieve a mysterious alien artifact, one not of Covenant origin. SPARTAN-070, or Flint as he's known, is sent to investigate, being one of the most expendable Spartans in the entire program. Too dangerous for ODSTs and not worth sending specialist Spartans, Flint is sent to the temple to investigate this mysterious, possibly war winning artifact. With no real ties left, Flint follows orders just like he always does, entering the temple to retrieve the artifact. While inside, he disappears from UNSC space, assumed KIA by his handlers. After all, it was Flint. Little do they know. Spartans never die, they're only Missing in Action.
