   His perfect features twisted into a self-deprecating expression that was half crooked smile and half wounded frown as he shrugged helplessly. It was a good-natured look of vulnerability and commiseration.

   One that she should have mirrored instantly, only for some reason she felt no desire to do so.

   It just struck her as a bit incongruent, is all.

   Like she couldn’t let this guy out of her sight for long enough to BLINK, or he’d suddenly be wearing a different personality again.

   Once, Hanabi would have found that sort of behaviour fascinating.

   Now, it only put her on edge.

   OR: The twisted, dark, tragic, psychological-thriller of a romantic-comedy, in which Izaya is in dire need of a distraction - and he finds her.
