"So Pete, who's this Flash you mentioned yesterday?" Tony questioned over breakfast, this was a conversation Peter had been dreading since he woke up that morning and re-called what happened the night before.
Peter sighed heavily, he hoped Tony wouldn't be annoyed with him for keeping this a secret from everyone for so long. "He's been bullying me for about a year now. Mainly just name calling amongst other things he says." Peter stated, missing out how not all of his injuries are from Spider-Man and some are from Flash, but he didn't need to know that.
"What do you mean 'mainly'?" Tony asked, much to the dismay of Peter who wished Tony hadn't picked up on that- but he was a genius after all.
"He sometimes is physical with me. But I can handle it, it's better he's doing it to me than someone else, that's why I don't fight back because I heal quick when no-one else would." Peter said, quickly adding that last part as if it makes the bullying any better.
"Pete it doesn't matter if you think you can handle it, or that you heal faster he shouldn't be doing this to anyone. You have done nothing to deserve this, that little shit needs to pay for this." Tony fumed, he was beyond pissed off- but Peter knew that was at Flash and not him. Tony was also angry with himself for not realising what was going on sooner.
"Mr Stark it's fine really, I'm handling it." Peter argued weakly.
"Kid I saw what state you were in yesterday, there is no way that this is fine. First thing on Monday we're dealing with this. I'll get FRIDAY to get a meeting with the principal and this Flash kid and I'll deal with him." There was no chance Tony was letting this go and allowing Peter to go back to school to be bullied by that Flash kid- what kind of name was Flash anyway? Tony also felt guilty because he felt like he'd let Peter down by not realising what was going on. Peter said it had been going on for a year and no-one had done anything about it and he saw Peter ever single week and never once noticed what was going on. He wasn't letting Peter down again.
Peter reluctantly agreed, knowing Tony wouldn't let the issue go. When Monday rolled around, Tony dropped Peter off at school before waiting for everyone to go to class and heading to the meeting- not wanting to be noticed by anyone. He wanted Peter to keep his privacy and not be thrust into the media spotlight.
"Have a seat Peter, Eugene, and Mrs. Thompson." Principal Morita said as he took a seat.
"I don't even know what I'm doing here." Flash's mom snapped as Flash glared at Peter.
"Why don't we wait for Peter's guardian to get here." The principal said and as if on queue Tony walked into the office and flashed his signature smile.
"Sorry I'm late." He said as he took a seat next to Peter. Despite knowing Tony would be there as he was the one who arranged the meeting, Morita still looked stunned to see Tony in person, as did Flash and his mother.
"Now, over the weekend I was emailed by Mr Stark with allegations that Eugene has been bullying Peter for the past year. Now, this school has a zero tolerance policy for bullying. However, I am obligated to hear what you have to say about this Eugene." Morita stated calmly. Flash's mother looked infuriated, not at her son, but because someone would accuse him of such a thing.
"He's lying. I've not done anything to him." Flash insisted before being backed up by his mother.
"Peter, do you have any proof of these allegations?" Morita asked. Flash smirked at Peter- thinking he'd gotten away with it as there was no way Peter would have any proof. Before Peter could answer, Tony spoke up.
"There are classmates of Peter who can back him up, who have witnessed Flash bully and torment my kid. There's video evidence of the bullying that took place on some of the security cameras, which you can look at. I have seen it for myself as my AI gathered this information over the weekend. Then there's the hours of audio recordings from Peter's phone. There is an AI I made just for Peter set up on his phone to record anything that would indicate Peter was in any trouble, so if anything happened- which it has- there would be proof of it. Granted it was for more severe cases, but it still captured all this. Then there is me, the person who comforted his kid after he broke down in tears over what Eugene had done. I think this evidence should suffice, don't you?" Tony listed, watching in almost delight at the look of horror on Flash and his mother's faces.
"I'm afraid with all that proof I have no choice but to expel Eugene." Morita said, sounding apologetic, but Peter and Tony could tell that he wasn't all that sorry.
"You can't do that! Do you have any idea how much money my husband and I have given to this school? We can easily take all that away!" Flash's mother exclaimed.
"Go ahead. I have more money that I know what to do with. Whatever money you put into this school won't make a dent in the over $100 billion dollars I have." Tony smirked, knowing that Flash's parents had nothing to hold over the school.
"Peter, is there anything you would like to add?" Principle Morita asked. Peter shook his head.
"Right well that settles this, Eugene please collect your things from your locker and leave school premises. Peter, I'm so sorry this went on for so long without no-one knowing. Mr Stark, Mrs. Thompson, thank you for coming." Everyone filed out, Flash and his mother glaring at Peter and Tony as they left as if they were in the wrong.
"Thank you so much Mr Stark." Peter exclaimed.
"No problem kiddo, I'm here for you no matter what you need, okay?" Tony responded with a soft smile. Tony pulled Peter into a tight hug.
"No matter what kiddo." Tony whispered before placing a kiss in Peter's hair. He promised that he would be there for Peter and do everything he could to support him. He would never let Peter down, not like his own father did with him.
